📣 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐀𝐈𝐀 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬 – 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝
We are pleased to announce the formal partnership between the United Church of God, an International Association (United Church of God, AIA Pilipinas) and Visayas State University (VSU) through a five-year Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) covering the conduct of the Feast of Tabernacles and The Eighth Day at the VSU main campus.
🏕️ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐂𝐆?
Under the MOA, UCG is granted the following important arrangements and privileges:
📅 1. 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬
The Feast dates are formally identified and booked in advance for 2026 through 2030:
• 2026: September 26 – October 2 | Eighth Day: October 3
• 2027: October 16 – 22 | Eighth Day: October 23
• 2028: October 5 – 11 | Eighth Day: October 12
• 2029: September 24 – 30 | Eighth Day: October 1
• 2030: October 12 – 18 | Eighth Day: October 19
🏛️ 2. 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐕𝐒𝐔 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
The agreement provides for UCG’s use of the VSU Convention Center, VSU Hostel, Apartelle, Seafront, Balay Alumni, Guesthouse and Pavilion, as well as other potential accommodations, facilities, and amenities that VSU may offer to accommodate the growing attendance of the Feast.
⏰ 3. 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐬
UCG is granted full access to the VSU Convention Center during the agreed Feast dates, including two days before the event for setup and preparation and one day after the event for cleanup and removal of equipment and materials.
🤝 4. 𝐕𝐒𝐔 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭
VSU will assign a university representative/focal person to coordinate with UCG regarding operational and scheduling matters and will provide reasonable administrative and logistical guidance necessary for the successful conduct of the Feast.
👨🏫 5. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
One significant benefit is that VSU will facilitate and conduct free training programs, seminars, and capacity-building activities relevant to the interests and needs of UCG and its members. Specific programs will be mutually agreed upon through a Supplemental Agreement.
🤝 𝐀 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
The MOA takes effect upon signing and remains in force for five years, unless extended by mutual written agreement or terminated according to its provisions.
This partnership provides the United Church of God with a stable and organized venue arrangement for the Feast for five consecutive years, while opening opportunities for UCG members to benefit from VSU's training, seminars, and extension activities.
