Another exciting year as the SOTC soldiers gathered for their Sportsfest and Awarding Ceremony last April 11, 2026! Excitement filled the church as everyone came together.

Starting with singing, the soldiers expressed their joy. They also listened attentively as Bro. Jayson Daga led the devotion, reminding them to finish strong in faith, drawing on 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

After the devotion, the games began, both indoors and outdoors! Encouraged by what they heard, the soldiers had fun while challenging themselves physically and mentally.

Afterwards, awards were given to 29 soldiers who completed their handbooks, granting them the privilege of attending this year’s junior camp free of registration. The champions for this year’s SOTC were also announced, with Team Alpha placing first, Team Delta second, Team Charlie third, and Team Bravo fourth.

As they competed and enjoyed the day, they were also reminded of what truly matters. It’s not just about winning, it’s about learning about God and growing spiritually. Whatever happens, we finish strong in our faith!

We thank the Lord for His provision and for the soldiers He has entrusted to us to teach His Word. And to the officers who faithfully serve in this ministry, let’s continue to serve till Jesus comes.

All honor and praise belong to God alone!

The 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 is a great privilege for officers to minister to the young soldiers. On March 9, 2026, this privilege was extended to 20 parents of young soldiers as a Parent-Teacher Night was held.

With the theme“𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦,” 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝟔:𝟔–𝟕, special speaker Ptr. John Mark Catalan highlighted the importance of teaching children—not just physically, emotionally, and academically, but most importantly, spiritually. He also emphasized that before parents can teach their children spiritually, they ought to have it in their own lives by first knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior.

Afterward, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous meal and had fellowship among the parents and officers. Then, the parents got to experience what their children do every Sunday by playing games, which everyone enjoyed. Overall, it was a night to remember, and we pray that as the seed was planted in the hearts of the parents, God would call them to salvation.

To God be the glory!

On August 10, 2025, the Soldiers of the Cross Club finally resumed, with 64 soldiers and 60 officers in attendance. The program began with the “Lupang Hinirang” and the pledges, bringing back a sense of familiarity to everyone. They were then welcomed by Benny, Alice, and Tim through a video featuring a photo recap from the past SOTC school year.

Afterward, the soldiers participated in special drill training led by Sir Danny Jucame. They were then divided into teams and introduced to their new officers for the year. Truly, the Lord has blessed us with a strong start to this new school year, and we pray that more soldiers will be added every Sunday.

To God be all the glory!

On May 10, 2025, the Soldiers of the Cross Club concluded the school year with a sportsfest and closing ceremony, which was attended by 42 soldiers. Starting off with singing and teaching of God’s Word, the seed has been planted in the soldier’s heart, and we pray that, by God’s grace, they would come to know the Lord personally.

Then, exciting games commenced both indoors and outdoors that challenged the soldiers physically, mentally, and in their memory of the Bible. Truly, the soldiers enjoyed the games and left wanting more.

Afterwards, the presentation of awards was given as 24 soldiers completed the handbooks, giving them the privilege and opportunity to be able to attend the Junior Camp free of registration. The champion for this year’s SOTC was also announced, with team Bravo as the first place, team Charlie as second, team Delta as third, and team Alpha as fourth.

This year was filled with ups and downs, yet we thank the Lord for the children He has given as well as the officers who faithfully serve the kids and, ultimately, God. Truly, all the honor and praise belong to God alone!

On January 17, 2025, the Sunday School Teachers met for their annual meeting, which began with a short devotion encouraging them to thrive in their ministry to the Lord and labor for the children so that the children, both spiritually and numerically, may thrive.

The teachers then collaborated to plan and prepare for the year's upcoming events, which was one of the meeting's highlights. Praise the Lord for these teachers who strive to do their best in the Lord's work. All glory to God!

Soldiers of the Cross Christmas Party | Dec. 15, 2024

With Christmas around the corner, the SOTC officers prepared a short program for the 98 soldiers who attended the Christmas party on Dec. 15. Starting with the singing of the national anthem and pledges, followed by a short devotion about the Christmas story, it was truly a blessing and a great reminder to the young soldiers that Christmas is about the birth of the Savior—Jesus Christ.

After the short devotion, fun games were enjoyed, and a small treat of candies was given to the soldiers, as well as a small token to the officers. It was surely a great way to celebrate Christmas and end the year. To God be all the glory!
