Yesterday, July 11, 2026, was a productive day of discussions and planning as TacloBATAan coordinators gathered for the monthly Vicariate Youth Coordinating Council (VYCC) meeting.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the host parish, the Archdiocesan Shrine of Blessed Sacrament, and its parish youth volunteers for their dedication and warm welcome.

The TacloBATAan expresses its deep grief and profound sorrow over the horrific act of violence that took place at San Jose National High School. We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident that has shaken not only the school but also the sense of safety of young people.

We offer our heartfelt prayers for the innocent lives lost during the shooting incident. May those who have passed be granted eternal peace, and may their families find strength, comfort, and courage in the midst of this painful loss.

We stand united in prayer and solidarity with the families, communities, and loved ones of those affected by this devastating incident. In this difficult moment, we extend our compassion, support, and unwavering concern to all who are struggling and grieving to cope with the impact of this tragedy.

Let us unite in promoting peace, vigilance, and extending care to one another to prevent a recurrence of such tragedies. We reaffirm our prayer and support for all the victims, and we humbly implore the Lord to heal every wounded heart through His infinite love and mercy.

With the Risen Christ, 𝟑𝟔 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐚𝐧 joins the Archiocese Palo for this year's 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗–𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Let us all pray for the fruitfulness of this gathering and may the spirits of our young continue to take courage in Christ!With the Risen Christ, 36 young leaders from TacloBATAan join the delegates of the Archdiocese of Palo for this year’s Regional Youth Days, hosted by the Diocese of Calbayog from April 9–12, 2026.

The Sta. Cruz Mission Station Youth Ministry reverently welcomed the Archdiocesan Youth Cross, brought by the Vicariate of Tacloban, during its visitation at Sta. Cruz Mission Station.

As the Cross continues its journey, may it ignite in every young heart a deeper faith, a stronger courage to serve, and a steadfast commitment to follow Christ, today, tomorrow, and always. ✝️

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐞 | As our Church journeys into the sacred season of Lent, 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐚𝐧 came together on the second Friday of Lent for a profound night of prayer and sacrifice. In the quiet reflection and the solemn rhythm of the Way of the Cross, the young people reverently carried the Archdiocesan Youth Cross from one station to the next—each step a heartfelt offering, each station a reminder of Christ’s boundless love. In bearing the Cross, they did more than reenact a tradition; they chose to walk with Jesus, sharing in His suffering and drawing closer to His sacrifice on Calvary.

This Lenten season, Christ gently calls us back to His merciful embrace "𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘥 𝘮𝘦: 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦". He invites us to lay down our burdens at the foot of the Cross, to allow our hearts to be renewed, and to be transformed through sincere prayer, selfless sacrifice, and loving service. May this holy season awaken in us a deeper faith, a stronger hope, and a love that reflects His own.

Young Faithfuls! You are warmly invited to take part in our 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 on 𝐅𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝟎𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 around the community of the 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐕&𝐆 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐝 as we prayerfully meditate on the Stations of the Cross.

Lent is a special time to pause, reflect, and draw closer to Christ. As we journey together, step by step, we will walk in prayer, remembering the path Jesus took out of love for us. This penitential walk is not just a physical journey, but a spiritual one — a chance to renew our hearts, seek forgiveness, and grow stronger in faith.

Come with your friends. Come with open hearts.
