Calling all young faithfuls of Abucay! 🍀

Flores de Mayo is a celebration in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and for the religious Philippines, this is a tradition that cannot be easily erased from the calendar amidst the radical changes in cultural orientation of the new generation.

And now, we are inviting all the young people to join us as we celebrate this month-long Marian Celebration this May. Flores de Mayo will start at 4:00 PM on weekdays and 1:00 pm on weekends at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Main Church. This will help our young people to learn and grow spiritually through prayer and cathecism, especially in this time of pandemic.

We are also looking for sponsors for this month-long celebration of Flores de Mayo. If anyone of you is interested, please contact Kristene Diane Cabahit, Youth Coordinator, at 09455985395 or you may visit the Parish Office.

Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter, believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples. Most notably, that Passover meal was when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples in an extraordinary display of humility. He then commanded them to do the same for each other.
