On June 30, 2024, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Jaro Ward, Jaro, Leyte, held its annual Ward Conference.

The event was filled with inspiring talks and messages from Church leaders that strengthened the attendees' faith and commitment to living a Christ-centered life. The choir’s heartfelt music and the powerful testimonies shared moved everyone present. Attendees learned to overcome challenges through the guidance of the Lord and felt a deep sense of community and spiritual upliftment.

Appreciation goes to all who participated and made the gathering truly special.

Last July 26, 2023, the Jaro Ward Youth rocked their camp with the theme "I can do all things through Christ"! 🌟 Games, talents, and friendships got a major upgrade! But guess what? Their coolest feat was getting way closer to Jesus throughout it all! 🙌🏼

The Youth Jaro ward presents Newspaper Modesty. They showed their creativity in this fun activity.

What is modesty?
Modesty is an attitude of propriety and decency in dress, grooming, language, and behavior. If we are modest, we do not draw undue attention to ourselves. Instead, we seek to “glorify God in [our] body, and in [our] spirit”

In 1 Corinthians 6:19 it says: Know ye not that your ​​​body​ is the ​​​temple​ of the Holy Ghost ​which is​ in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your ​​​own​?

We are being reminded that our bodies are sacred. We should respect it by taking care of our bodies, dressing appropriately, eating nutritious food and so forth. We should always think: If the Savior stood beside me? Would I dress inappropriately?

Our Young Single Adults in Jaro Ward enjoyed their 1 and a half day Multistake conference held in Madison Hotel Tacloban City. The purpose of this activity includes: building faith in Jesus Christ, provide fun and foster unity, provide opportunities for personal growth and strengthen individuals.
