Jed J. Tupaz is a dedicated public servant and tourism development advocate based in Dulag, Leyte. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Eastern Visayas State University, where he graduated as the Best Thesis awardee in his Class. Jed possesses both Career Service Professional and Local Treasurer eligibilities, and is a skilled resource speaker and community mobilizer with extensive training in heritage conservation, tourism statistics, and transformational leadership. To sharpen his expertise in cultural and tourism events, he completed the Enrichment of Festival Production Summit for Leyte (2025) and has a strong track record in youth leadership as a former Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Member. Currently, Jed serves as the Municipal Tourism Focal Person of LGU-Dulag, representing his municipality in tourism governance and development. He is also an active member of the Regional Tourism Officers Organization, where he collaborates with peers across Eastern Visayas to strengthen tourism initiatives. Alongside his professional work, Jed is pursuing graduate studies as a Master in Management major in Public Administration student at a renowned university, further equipping himself with advanced knowledge in governance and public service.

When the seat of the government was transfered to Mayorga with the parish office likewise transfered. 5 men failed to take her away for she was extraordinarily heavy, in their effort to bring the blessed Lady to Mayorga, the following day, more men were requested to transfer her but a swarm of bees who built their hive overnight near the virgin, swooped upon them. Running away they abandoned the virgin’s transfer. The religious folks then prayed asking her permission for temporary transfer to be taken back as soon as a chapel shall be constructed. Miraculously indeed she was so light, and so easy to transport.
