May 6: Marian Trivia

Mary, Full of Grace

Today, we reflect on the Archangel Gabriel’s unique greeting to Mary: "Hail, full of grace" (Luke 1:28). In the original Greek, the word used is Kecharitomene, which signifies a permanent and perfected state of being filled with God's divine life.

This title reveals that Mary was prepared by God with every heavenly blessing to fit her for the role of Mother of the Savior.

"To become the mother of the Savior, Mary 'was enriched by God with gifts appropriate to such a role.' The angel Gabriel at the moment of the annunciation salutes her as 'full of grace'." β€” CCC 490

Key Takeaways:

The Term: Kecharitomene implies that Mary was filled with grace in the past, continues to be filled with grace in the present, and will remain so forever.

The Meaning: It signifies that there was no room for sin in her soul, as she was completely transformed by God's love and favor.

Holy Mary, Full of Grace, pray for us.

"Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." (John 12:26)

We want to express our deepest thanks to our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Raymund Ciprian N. Mazo and to our resident priest, Rev. Fr. Arnold M. Aurillio, for their spiritual guidance, as well as to all the commissions, organizations, and confraternities who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From the solemnity of the processions and the Stations of the Cross in our barangays to the beauty of the Easter Vigil and the joy of the midnight Sugat, your dedication as lectors, choir members, altar servers, extraordinary ministers of holy communion, and volunteers brought our liturgy to life.

The Catholic Church teaches that this kind of service is a "holy ministry," where our work becomes a form of prayer that builds up the entire Body of Christ. Thank you for being a living reflection of God’s love in our communityβ€”may the Risen Lord reward your generosity with His abundant peace and blessings. To God be the glory and a Happy Easter to all!

As the hymn of Glory to God fills the air, we offer not just flowers, but our hearts in praise.
A beautiful tradition of faith, love, and gratitude as we decorate the altar in celebration of Easter Sunday.

He is risen, and so is our hope. πŸ™

As we begin the Lenten season, we invite everyone to join us on February 17, 2026, for the Rite of Burning of Palms at 5:30PM Mass

The Burning of Palms marks a solemn preparation for the Lenten season, transforming last year’s blessed palms into sacred ashes. This meaningful rite calls the faithful to reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal as we ready our hearts for the season of Lent.
