There is something Yahweh values more than our talents, our
achievements, or even the many things we do in His Name. He is
looking at the posture of our hearts.
We live in a world that celebrates what is visible. People notice our
accomplishments, our appearance, our knowledge, and even our acts
of service. But Yahweh sees beyond all of that. When the prophet
Samuel was sent to anoint Israel's next king, Yahweh reminded him,
"π΄ππ πππππππ ππ πππ πππππππ
ππππππππππ, πππ ππππππ πππππππ ππ πππ
πππππ" (1 πΊπππππ 16:7).
That truth has never changed.
The question is not simply, "Am I doing the right things?" but rather, "Is
my heart fully devoted to Yahweh?"
A wholehearted life begins with a guarded heart. Proverbs 4:23 teaches
us to keep our hearts with all diligence because everything we do flows
from them. Before our words are spoken, before our actions are seen,
they are first formed within the heart. If the heart drifts from Yahweh,
everything else will eventually follow.
David understood this after his failure. He did not ask Yahweh to simply
restore his reputation. He cried out, "Create in me a clean heart..."
(Psalm 51:10). David knew that true restoration begins on the inside.
Yahweh is not interested in covering our brokenness; He wants to heal
it.
This is the beauty of His grace. Yahweh does not ask us to transform
ourselves before coming to Him. Instead, He promises, "π¨ πππ πππππ
ππππ ππππ π° ππππ πππ, πππ
π πππ ππππππ ππππ π° πππ ππππππ πππ" (π¬ππππππ 36:26).
The heart He desires is the very heart He is willing to create in us when
we surrender to Him.
Wholehearted devotion does not mean living a flawless life. It means
refusing to live with a divided heart. It means loving Yahweh above
every ambition, every comfort, every fear, and every earthly desire. It is
choosing Him daily, even when no one else is watching.
The Scriptures tell us that the eyes of Yahweh search throughout the
whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are completely His (2
Chronicles 16:9). Imagine thatβthe Creator of heaven and earth is
searching, not for the most gifted or the most admired, but for hearts
that belong entirely to Him.
Yahshua taught the greatest commandment: to love Yahweh with all our
heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength (Mark 12:30). Not
with half our heart. Not only when life is easy. But with everything we
are.
That is why David prayed, "πΊπππππ ππ, πΆ π¬πππππ, πππ
ππππ ππ πππππ"
(π·ππππ 139:23β24). It takes humility to invite Yahweh to examine us.
Sometimes He reveals things we would rather ignoreβpride, bitterness,
fear, or hidden idols. Yet His correction is never meant to condemn us. It
is the loving work of a Father who desires His children to walk closely
with Him.
When we draw near to Him with sincere hearts, He promises to draw
near to us (James 4:8). And those whose hearts are made pure will see
His hand at work in ways they never imagined (Matthew 5:8).
So today, let us not be consumed with how we appear before people.
Let us be concerned with how we stand before Yahweh. May our
greatest desire not be recognition, but relationship; not applause, but
obedience; not religious performance, but genuine love for our Creator.
