✝️ Bakit Hindi Holy Day of Obligation ang Ash Wednesday? ✝️

Napakagandang Sagot mula sa isang kilalang Author at Inspirational Speaker na si Carl Balita.

Ayon sa kanya..

Maraming Katoliko ang nagugulat kapag nalaman nila ito:
Ang Ash Wednesday ay hindi Holy Day of Obligation.

Ibig sabihin, hindi ka obligadong magsimba ayon sa batas ng Simbahan.

Pero teka…
Kung hindi pala ito obligasyon, bakit tila isa ito sa pinaka-seryosong araw sa kalendaryo ng Simbahan?

Dahil ang kahalagahan ay hindi laging nasusukat sa obligasyon.

Ang Ash Wednesday ay hindi tungkol sa batas.
Ito ay tungkol sa pagbabalik-loob.

Hindi ito tungkol sa utos.
Ito ay tungkol sa konsensya.

Hindi ito tungkol sa attendance.
Ito ay tungkol sa pagsisisi.

🔥 Isang Paanyaya, Hindi Isang Puwersahang Utos

Hindi pinipilit ng Simbahan ang sinuman na simulan ang Kuwaresma.
Bakit?

Dahil ang tunay na pagsisisi ay hindi puwedeng pilitin.
Ang pagbabalik sa Diyos ay dapat manggaling sa puso.

Kaya imbes na obligasyon, ang ibinibigay ng Simbahan ay paanyaya.
Isang banal na paanyaya.
Isang espirituwal na tawag.
Isang seryosong paalala.
Isang mapagmahal na babala.

Tahimik ngunit malinaw ang mensahe ng abo:

“Alalahanin mong ikaw ay alabok.”
“Babalik ka rin sa alabok.”
“Maikli ang buhay.”
“Mahalaga ang kaluluwa mo.”
“Magbalik-loob ka.”
“Baguhin mo ang buhay mo.”
“Magsimula ka muli.”

🕊 Hindi Pista — Kundi Wake-Up Call

Ang abo ay hindi inilalagay na may kasayahan.
Ito ay inilalagay sa katahimikan.
Sa panalangin.
Sa kababaang-loob.
Sa pagninilay.

Hindi ito feast day.
Hindi ito masayang pagdiriwang.
Ito ay isang paggising.

Parang sinasabi ng Simbahan:

“Huminto ka muna.”
“Mag-isip ka.”
“Magnilay ka.”
“Magsisi ka.”
“Magbalik ka sa Diyos.”

✨ Isang Araw ng Desisyon

Bagama’t hindi ito Holy Day of Obligation,
ito ay Holy Day of Decision.

Araw ng konsensya.
Araw ng katotohanan.
Araw ng pagsisisi.
Araw ng bagong simula.
Araw ng pagbabalik.

Hindi ka inuutusan na pumunta.
Pero inaanyayahan ang kaluluwa mo na tumugon.

Dahil ang Kuwaresma ay hindi tungkol sa rules —
ito ay tungkol sa relationship.

Hindi tungkol sa batas —
kundi tungkol sa pag-ibig.

Hindi tungkol sa obligasyon —
kundi tungkol sa conversion.

Kaya kahit walang sapilitan, nagsisimba pa rin ang mga tapat na Katoliko.
Kaya puno ang mga simbahan.
Kaya mahalaga ang abo.

Hindi dahil pinilit sila ng Simbahan —
kundi dahil nauunawaan ito ng kaluluwa.

Ang Ash Wednesday ay hindi araw ng obligasyon.

Ito ay araw ng paggising.

The ultimate example of this is the relationship between Jesus and his disciples, who lived with him to learn his ways and carry out his mission.
Here is a breakdown of the "apprentice" concept regarding Jesus and his role as King:

✝️1. The Twelve Disciples as Apprentices

🛐Definition: Jesus formed a special teacher-student relationship with twelve men,, who observed, learned, and imitated him for three years.

👉Purpose: They were trained to continue his work, with Jesus stating they would do even greater works through the power of the Holy Spirit (John 14:12).
👉Inner Circle: Peter, James, and John were part of an inner circle often alone with Jesus in prayer and teaching.

✝️2. Disciples as "Apprentices to the King"

🛐Jesus as King: The New Testament defines Jesus as the promised David King of Israel and "King of kings".
👉Our Role: Christians are viewed as apprentices to Jesus the King, called to live in his kingdom, adopt his ways, and be transformed into his image.
👉Meaning of Discipleship: It is a, lifelong, and intimate process of following Jesus, being changed by him, and committing to his mission (Mark 1:17).

🛐"Caught" not just "Taught": Apprenticeship with Jesus involves experiencing his life and letting his way of life "rub off" on you, rather than just studying rules.

👉Obedience over Knowledge: A true apprentice focuses on obeying Jesus' commands, such as loving others and serving (John 14:15, Matthew 28:20).
👉Imitation: Paul the Apostle emphasized this by saying, "Imitate me, just as I imitate Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1).

👉Serving and Leading: Apprentices are trained to eventually become mentors, mentoring new believers to grow in Christ.

While they are called to focus on spiritual matters, they are also encouraged to provide for themselves and others.

✝️ Labor for the Lord: Colossians 3:23–24 instructs believers to work with their "whole being" and "heartily, as to the Lord and not to men," regardless of their earthly employer.

±Physical Sustenance: While not focusing on earthly gain, servants of the Lord are not forbidden from earning their own living; rather, they are to work with their hands to avoid being a burden (1 Thess. 4:11, 2 Thess. 3:8, 12).

±The Laborer's Reward: The Bible notes that a laborer deserves their wages (1 Tim. 5:18, Luke 10:7).

📢👉Mula sa Tamang Pananampalataya, Natangay ng Man-Made na Sekta

Ang ganitong uri ng post at pahayag ay malinaw na bunga ng kakulangan sa wastong kaalaman sa sariling pananampalataya, at ng maling paggamit ng mga talata sa Biblia. Kapag ang isang Kristiyano ay hindi naunawaan ang buong konteksto ng Kasulatan at kasaysayan ng pananampalataya, madali siyang malinlang ng mga hiwa-hiwalay na talata na ginagamit laban sa Simbahang itinatag mismo ni Kristo.

Sabi nga

📖 Hosea 4:6

> “Ang aking bayan ay napapahamak dahil sa kakulangan ng kaalaman.”

📢Ang mga Talatang Ginagamit Laban sa Katoliko ay Tumutukoy sa IDOLS, Hindi sa Banal na Imahe

Madalas gamitin laban sa Katoliko ang:

Isaias 44:9–20
Exodo 20:4
Awit 115

👉 Ngunit ang mga talatang ito ay malinaw na tumutukoy sa IDOLS — mga larawang:
- ginawang diyos
- pinaniwalaang may sariling kapangyarihan
- sinasamba kapalit ng tunay na Diyos

> “Ang natira ay ginagawang diyos, sinasamba at dinadalanginan.”

❗ Ito ang malinaw na depinisyon ng idol — isang nilalang o bagay na itinuring na Diyos.

➡️ HINDI ito ang ginagawa ng Simbahang Katoliko.
Kung ito man ay ginawa ni ate, ginagawa nya ang HINDI itinuro ng simbahan.

Kung bawal ang lahat ng larawan, bakit **ang Diyos mismo ang nag-utos gumawa nito?**

Ang sekta ay yaong itinayo lamang ng tao, dekada o siglo matapos si Kristo.

"History of Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) started in Latin America in the 1960s, inspired by Vatican II's call for lay participation, addressing priest shortages, and influenced by Liberation

Theology, focusing on scripture, worship, and social action for the poor, spreading globally as a "church in the grassroots" to foster deeper faith and community, particularly in the Philippines, Africa, and Asia.
Origins & Inspiration

Vatican II: The vision of the Church as the "People of God" and a "communion" spurred lay involvement.

Latin America: Emerged in the 1960s in Brazil, responding to a lack of priests and a desire for deeper faith application.

Liberation Theology: Influenced early BECs, focusing on the poor and social justice, though not all BECs rejected church structure.

Ang mga responsibilidad ng mga lay minister sa Simbahang Katoliko ay iba-iba depende sa kanilang ginagampanang tungkulin, ngunit karaniwan itong umiikot sa pagsuporta sa pastoral, liturhikal, at pang-edukasyon na gawain, tulad ng pagtulong sa paghahatid ng Banal na Komunyon, pagiging reader o cantor, pamumuno sa mga grupo ng panalangin at pag-aaral ng Banal na Kasulatan, at pagtulong sa outreach, na pawang ginagawa para mapalakas ang komunidad at pagpapalaganap ng Ebanghelyo.

Mga Tungkulin sa Liturhiya (Pagsamba):
