Today, on the Sixth Sunday of Easter, Jesus offers His disciples a gift that the world cannot giveโ€”peace. Not the kind that depends on circumstances or the absence of problems, but a deeper peace rooted in His presence. It is a peace that remains even in uncertainty, one that steadies the heart when everything else feels unsettled.

As Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure, He assures them that they will not be left alone. The promise of the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, reveals that God continues to guide, teach, and remind us of all that Christ has said. Even when we feel lost or unsure, we are not without direction. Godโ€™s presence remains active, gently leading us forward.

In our lives, peace can feel fragile. It is often disrupted by worries, pressures, and the constant noise around us. We search for control, for clarity, for something to hold onto. Yet Jesus invites us into a different kind of trustโ€”not in our ability to manage everything, but in His faithful presence within us.

โ€œTo not let your hearts be troubledโ€ is not a command to ignore reality, but an invitation to see it differently. It is choosing to believe that God is at work even in what we do not understand. It is resting in the assurance that His love is constant, His guidance is real, and His promises endure.

As we continue through the Easter season, may we receive the peace Christ offersโ€”not as something temporary, but as a lasting gift. And in carrying that peace within us, may we become a source of calm, hope, and reassurance to those around us.

Today, on the Fifth Sunday of Easter, we are given a command that is both simple and demanding: to love one another as Christ has loved us. This is not a distant or abstract kind of love, but one that is lived out in real, concrete waysโ€”patient, self-giving, and faithful even when it is difficult.

Jesus calls this a โ€œnewโ€ commandment, not because love was unknown before, but because He reveals its fullest meaning through His own life. His love is not based on convenience or comfort. It is a love that serves, forgives, and sacrifices. It reaches out even when it is not returned, and remains steady even in the face of rejection.

In our daily lives, this call often unfolds in small and quiet moments. It is choosing understanding over judgment, kindness over indifference, and forgiveness over resentment. It is in these ordinary decisions that love becomes visible and real. Through them, we begin to reflect the very love we have received from Christ.

The world often measures love by feelings or words, but Jesus measures it through action. โ€œBy this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.โ€ Our witness, then, is not only in what we say, but in how we liveโ€”how we treat others, how we respond to challenges, and how we carry one anotherโ€™s burdens.

As we continue this Easter season, we are reminded that the Resurrection is not only a victory to celebrate, but a life to embody. The love Christ shows us is meant to flow through us, reaching others and transforming the world in quiet but powerful ways.

May this Sunday strengthen our hearts to love more deeply, more generously, and more faithfullyโ€”just as Christ has loved us.

Today, on the Fourth Sunday of Easterโ€”often called Good Shepherd Sundayโ€”we are reminded of the deep and personal relationship Christ desires with each of us. Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd, one who knows His sheep, calls them by name, and leads them with care and purpose. This image speaks not of distance, but of closenessโ€”a God who is not far removed, but intimately present in our lives.

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and competing voices, it can be difficult to recognize which path to follow. We are often pulled in different directions by expectations, fears, and uncertainties. Yet the voice of Christ remains steady and gentle, inviting rather than forcing, guiding rather than overwhelming. The challenge is not that He is silent, but that we must learn to listen.

To hear His voice requires attentivenessโ€”a heart that is open, prayerful, and willing to trust even without seeing the whole path ahead. Like sheep who recognize their shepherd, we are called to grow in familiarity with Christ, to know His voice through Scripture, prayer, and the quiet movements of grace in our lives.

Jesus also assures us of something deeply comforting: that we are known and held securely in His care. โ€œNo one can sn**ch them out of my hand.โ€ In moments of fear, doubt, or weakness, this promise reminds us that our lives are not left to chance. We belong to Him.

As we continue this Easter season, may we become more attentive to the voice of the Good Shepherd. And in following Him, may we find not only direction, but peaceโ€”the kind that comes from knowing we are seen, known, and loved.

Today, on the Third Sunday of Easter, we are reminded that the Risen Christ meets us not only in extraordinary moments, but in the ordinary rhythms of life. The Gospel shows the disciples returning to their familiar workโ€”fishingโ€”yet finding themselves tired and empty-handed. It is in this quiet, almost routine moment that Jesus appears, though they do not immediately recognize Him.

Even after experiencing the Resurrection, the disciples still struggle with uncertainty and direction. Like them, we can find ourselves going back to what is comfortable, especially when we are unsure of what comes next. Yet Christ does not leave us in that uncertainty. He calls out, guides, and providesโ€”filling empty nets and revealing His presence in ways we might not expect.

In the simple act of sharing a meal, Jesus restores and reassures His disciples. There is no grand display, only a quiet invitation: โ€œCome and have breakfast.โ€ It is a reminder that Godโ€™s presence is often found in the ordinaryโ€”in daily work, in simple conversations, and in moments of stillness.

The Resurrection continues to unfold in these encounters. Christ meets us where we are, offering not only direction but also nourishment for the journey ahead. He calls us to trust again, to begin again, and to recognize that even in our moments of doubt or failure, He remains near.

May this Sunday open our eyes to see the Risen Lord in the ordinary moments of our lives. And in recognizing Him, may we find renewed strength to follow, to trust, and to live out the mission He entrusts to us.

Today, on the Second Sunday of Easterโ€”also known as Divine Mercy Sundayโ€”we are reminded that faith is not a leap into the dark, but a response to the โ€œsignsโ€ of Godโ€™s presence. The Gospel tells us that while Jesus performed many signs, those recorded for us serve as a bridge, connecting our present reality to the life-giving power of the Resurrection.

Even after the joy of Easter morning, we often find ourselves like the disciplesโ€”behind locked doors, wrestling with doubt, or longing for something tangible to hold on to. Yet Christ meets us exactly there. He does not condemn our hesitation; instead, He offers His peace and even His wounds as a quiet assurance of His enduring love.

The Resurrection invites us to look beyond what is immediately seen. To have life in His name is to live with hearts open to mercy and grace. Like Thomas, who moved from doubt to a profound confession of faith, we too are called to allow our encounters with Christ to transform uncertainty into conviction.

Easter does not end at the empty tombโ€”it continues in us. Each act of mercy, each decision to trust, and each witness of faith becomes a living sign for others. In a world searching for meaning, our lives can quietly reflect the presence of the Risen Lord.

May this Sunday deepen our faith and fill us with a peace that remains even in uncertainty. Through belief, may we truly discover the fullness of life found in Him.

we spent days preparingโ€”fixing lineups,
choosing songs, repeating parts over and over until everything felt right

in between school, work,
and everything else we had to do,
we made time

for practices that ran late,
for early calls,
for moments we were tired but still showed up

from the via crucis
to maundy thursday, good friday, black saturdayโ€”
we just kept going

not perfect, not always easy,
but we showed up for each other and for Him

then easter cameโ€”
and it all felt worth it

voices tired, hearts full
grateful to serve thru it all

He is Risen, Alleluia!

Today, the Church proclaims its greatest joy: Christ is risen. The empty tomb stands as a silent yet powerful witness that death does not have the final word. What seemed like defeat on the cross is revealed as victoryโ€”life overcoming death, light breaking through darkness, and hope rising where despair once lingered.

The Resurrection is not only an event to remember, but a truth that transforms everything. It assures us that no suffering is meaningless, no sin too great, and no situation beyond redemption. Just as the stone was rolled away from the tomb, God continues to remove the barriers that keep us trapped in fear, doubt, and hopelessness.

For the disciples, Easter morning began in confusion and disbelief. Yet, in encountering the risen Christ, their sorrow turned into courage, and their uncertainty into mission. This same invitation is given to usโ€”to move from fear into faith, from hesitation into trust, and from silence into proclamation.

Easter reminds us that we are people of the Resurrection. Even in the ordinary and challenging moments of life, we carry within us the promise of new beginnings. Every act of love, every step toward forgiveness, every choice to hope becomes a reflection of the risen Christ alive in us.

May this Easter fill our hearts with renewed faith and joy, reminding us that in Christ, life is always stronger than death, and hope will always rise again.

Today, we begin Holy Week with a scene of triumph. Jesus enters Jerusalem, welcomed by crowds waving palm branches and shouting praises. There is joy, excitement, and hope in the air. The people recognize Him as the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Yet, beneath this celebration lies a deeper truthโ€”this path of praise is leading toward the cross.

Palm branches symbolize victory, but the kind of victory Jesus brings is unlike any other. He does not come with power or force, but with humility and peace. He enters not on a throne, but on a humble path that will soon lead to sacrifice. The same voices that cry โ€œHosannaโ€ will later fall silent or turn away. This reminds us how quickly faith can shift when faced with difficulty or unmet expectations.

In our own lives, it is easy to praise God in moments of blessing, yet struggle to remain faithful in times of trial. Palm Sunday invites us to reflect on the depth of our discipleship. Do we follow Christ only in moments of joy, or are we willing to walk with Him even through suffering?

As we hold our palms today, we are not only celebrating a kingโ€”we are choosing to follow Him. The journey ahead leads to the cross, but it does not end there. Through sacrifice comes redemption, and through death comes life.

May this Holy Week draw us closer to Christ, not only in words of praise, but in a faithful and enduring love that remains, even in the shadow of the cross.
