“This is My Beloved Son. Listen to Him” Matthew 17:5
These words in the Gospel of the Second Sunday of Lent was echoed by Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor in his Homily to the members of the FGLC for the 2nd Sunday of Lent where the Transfigurationof Jesus Gospel narrative was read(Matt 17:1-9)
During the Hours of Holiness of prayer in worship, meditation of the Joyful Mysteries of the Hily Rosary, prayers of Adoration, Consecration, Thanksgiving & Supplication and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist were said by the congregation of young and young “once upon a time”, couples & elders gathered at the FC Hall to celebrate the second Sunday of Lent together in a synodal way by listening to the word of God, by listening to each other’s faith experience and by committing to being changed and renewed in the Holy Spirit. This was ably facilitated by the members of the Associates of a New Life BEC, the Couples group led by Bro. John & Sis Colasito together with Responsible Couples Bro.Chito & Marilis Luangco, Bro. Chito Lao, & Bro. Chris & Rose Yodico in the music service.
Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor expounded that the transfiguration of Jesus symbolizes the revelation of His being God & Divine, and we too as His followers can also be transfigured in the sense of being transformed from being bad to being good, like an ugly worm that is transformed to become a beautiful butterfly in a process called metamorphosis, we too can be changed & renewed & metamorphosed into the disciples of Jesus Christ by listening to Him through Hos word I’m Scripture, obeying His commands & be inspired by the Holy Spirit to change and imitate Jesus Christ.
We must climb up to the mountain of transfiguration from our hill & valley of sin & imperfections & difficulties, to the will to change and go up to the mountain of the Lord Jesus and be in His likeness.
We can do this through the power of the Holy Spirit!

“And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:13
A loud prayer of the FGLC members as this Theme for the Family Celebration translated into prayer of worship in the mediation of the Holy Rosary, to the singing of praise songs, listening to Scriptures, to the Theme Presentation and the testimony of a sister in Christ who was tempted several times but delivered by the Lord God several times also. The Gospel for the first Sunday of Leny was audibly excited through a video clip about the 3 temptations of Jesus and what was His response to the devil.
Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor expounded on the 3 kinds of temptations on the body, soul, and spirit men/women encounter daily. Just as Jesus was tempted and He drove away the devil by choosing to obey God, to bow down on God alone, and to revere God’s precepts and obey them alone, we too are given the choice to obey God, to choose life rather than death, choose obedience to God or obedience to the human or evil spirit? That’s why men & women are called to seek for the mercy of God every day, especially on the Season of Lent. For 40 days, Jesus is beckoning us to return to God, be reconciled with Him, and we can be delivered from temptations.
The Holy Spirit is urging us to be like Jesus who delivered us from transgression as He lovingly obeyed God.

2 John 1:6 “For this is love, ❤️ that we walk according to His commandments-Love the Lord your God, and love one another as I have loved you-this is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning in which you should walk.”
The Family of God’s Little Children members showed love ❤️ for God as usual together every Saturday in the Celebration of Worship, Prayerful & inspirational songs, In the meditation of the Holy Rosary, in the fellowship with Agape Meal, and show of talents for each one’s entertainment, which were delightfully led by Servant Virgilio Ang, and the members of the Partakers of the New Covenant, and in the meaningful Celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor. This day capped the Love Day Celebration of the FGLC members and showed a witness that Valentine’s Day is not only for lovers, but also for Christians who are lovers of God in the Lord Jesus. The Presiding Servant enunciated the point that God is the Ultimate Lover of men, women, children as she quoted Scripture in Jeremiah 31:3 when the Lord God said “I have loved you with an everlasting love, and My affection for you is constant”, exhorting all the congregation to love the Lord God back amidst trials, joys, sorrows, difficulties & challenges in life, because He is there with us accompanying us all the way, 24/7, 365 days im 12 months, and His love cannot be compared with the earthly love & joys that people experience in their daily life.
Truly, a love day transpired for all the couples, men & women, youth & children gathered at the Foundational Center Hall.

“You are the salt of the earth…
You are the light of the world…
…that they may see the good that you do and give glory to God!”
The message of Jesus for the Gospel today, the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time, which were contemplated upon by the FGLC leaders & members after listening to Scriptures, listening to each other share particular individual faith experience, sharing of practical applications to daily life to practice the command of Jesus by being the “salt & light”to each other, sharing food in agape meal, sharing the Word of God & Sacrament by the celebration of the Highest Form of Worship, the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor. The day really is Holy for all children to be child-like in the Lord Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the Family of God’s Little Children.

Starting the year right, with right Servant Leaders, right Responsibles, right Roles & Persona of Christian Leades in a Covenant Community!
As January ended and Performance Evaluation have been conducted individually and by family groupings, as each one listened to each other, discerned together the will of the Lord, & agreed to continue the covenant commitment to the Lord & to each other, the FGLC membership looked back on how each performed individual promises to God & to each other in the Family under the spiritual direction of Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor, and the able mentorship of its Presiding Servant Sis Annie C. Corpin, the FGLC came up with Programs of Evangelization for different Apostolate areas in Tacloban City & Palo, Activities to promote discipleship in each one by the Lord Jesus for spiritual growth & upliftment fo the whole year of 2026. Appointed servant leaders came out humbly accepting the CALL of the Lord to be a Christian Leader in the Family of God’s Little Children, to be the Right Leader to be a DISCIPLE of JESUS CHRIST, and to do MISSION to evangelize others in and by the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT!
The membership were happy to belong to this Family.
The afternoon was successfully conducted through Prayers by Meditating the Holy Rosary, in praise songs of worship & adoration to the Lord by the Pilgrims of the New Way (the youngest group of the FGLC), and in the meaningful celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor.

“Send us to be fishers of men” (Mark 4:12-23)cried all the members of the Family of God’s Little Children in today’s Family Celebration of prayers, songs, dance, sharing of faith experience to each other, listening to each other in a synodal way as each talk about his/her faith experience & journey in the Lord Jesus with the wisdom of the Father & the inspiration of the Holy Spirit! Indeed, how good & pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! The Celebration was capped by the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Bart Pastor, who enunciated & expounded on how to be fishers of men: by a radiant & welcoming smile to brethren, by being present to help the brethren, by telling the brethren of the love of God to him/her to us His creatures, by loving the person in the love of the Lord!
The Celebration was ably led by the Partakers 2 of the new Covenant BEC with Sis Virgilio & Lorna Ang with its Council of Responsibles.

48 years of continued blessings, challenges met, target goals achieved, camaraderie enjoyed, life with each other equally celebrated- this is the Family of God’s Little Children, home to more than 265 residents of Tacloban City, Palo, Tanauan, Sta. Fe, Leyte-where life and Spirit meet, purpose-driven to be missionary disciples of Jesus Christ, actively powered by the fire of the Holy Spirit, and radically serving as instruments of God’s love, in the peace of Christ, journeying together in building a new synodal church, always with faith, live and Hope, always resilient to the challenges of the times today!
“We are 48, and together we thank YOU, loving Father in heaven, that we are your beloved children, little as we are yet big in your eyes!
Together we all grow as brothers and sisters! One in love, One in Him, One in God forever! Were a family in one God, a home in one God, a family of God’s little children.
