We have just concluded our music practice of the Advent and Christmas Bicol Liturgical Songs by Vicariate.

The Sub-commission on Sacred Music would like to thank the 3 Parishes (Parish Priest), for accomodating the music ministers of the Diocese, as the venue with sumptuos SNACKS of the said Vicarial practices:

Fr. Dave Ramoso of St. Raphael Parish Legazpi (2nd Vicariate practice - Nov 16)

Msgr. Ramon Tronqued - St. Stephen Parish Ligao (3rd Vicariate practice - Nov 16)

Fr. Joy Barja - St John the Baptist Parish Tabaco (1st Vicariate practice - Nov 23)

Big thanks also to our beloved Bishop, Most Rev Joel Z. Baylon, for supporting us in our goal of having a unified repertoire for the whole Diocese.

A project by the grade 12 graduating seminarians of St. Gregory the Great Seminary.

Copies will be sold during the scheduled date of MUSIC PRACTICE per vicariate. The proceeds of this project will go to the funds of the grade 12 seminarians of St. Gregory the Great Seminary and will be used for their Graduation Retreat.

Music ministry coordinators/chairmen/trainors:

Requesting the concerned persons for a meeting in preparation for the advent and Christmas season. Pls suggest dates - much better if we can do it this October. I have talked with the Bishop this morning; told him that we will compose service songs that will be used for Advent season alone, he approved it. I also asked him if we will already implement the "no Christmas songs singing" during advent and simbang gabi, he said: Yes... we need to finalize the line-up asap, magibo ako hymnal for advent and simbang gabi w/ music notes. Need ur help regarding this matter... And by the way, the bishop said that a CIRCULAR LETTER will be attached in the advent and Christmas hymnal to observe the line up of songs that we will prepare for the whole music ministry of the Diocese. Thanks.

The Bishop is requesting all Parish Music ministers to use the DPA 2 line-up of songs these remaining Sundays in Ordinary Time before the Advent Season...

It includes all songs, from Entrance to Recessional and the service songs...
