Before we serve Christ with our hands, we must abide in Him with our hearts. Because a genuine Christian life begins not with what we do for Him, but with who we are becoming in Him.

There may be seasons when we feel slow, tired, or uncertain of the road ahead. But we are not called to compete with others; we are called to keep pressing forward, keeping our eyes on Christ and the prize He has set before us.

Sometimes, the bravest decision we can make is to turn aroundโ€”even when the world keeps calling us to follow its way.

Like a U-turn sign, may we turn our attentions away from the worldโ€™s system and fix our eyes on Christ.

As Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:1:

Gratitude shifts our eyes from our problems to Godโ€™s faithfulness, and from our fears to His promises.

Gratitude is not only for the moments when everything is going smoothly. Even in the moments when we can no longer go on, we must still give thanks for Godโ€™s never-failing presence.

Ephesians 5:20 says,
