"Our patriarchal blessings offer spiritual guidance, reassurance, and comfort throughout our lives as we follow the counsel they provide."

Tubod Philippines Stake Young Women Organization held a Patriarchal Blessing Fireside on June 14, 21, and 28, 2026, in three cluster gatherings involving young women from the Claver, Bacuag, Placer, Bad-as, Tubod, Mainit, Matin-ao, Alegria, and Kitcharao units.

Patriarch Amado M. Nardo taught that patriarchal blessings are sacred personal revelations from Heavenly Father that provide guidance, comfort, and promised blessings throughout life. Brother Virgel Morales, the patriarch's scribe, shared counsel on preparing worthily to receive this sacred ordinance with faith and reverence.

The fireside strengthened the testimonies of the young women and inspired them to prepare for and cherish their patriarchal blessings as lifelong sources of spiritual guidance. The Tubod Philippines Stake Young Women Organization expressed gratitude to Patriarch Nardo, Brother Morales, youth, and local leaders for their inspired instruction and support in making the event a meaningful spiritual experience.

Kitcharao, Philippines โ€“ June 5โ€“6, 2026 โ€“ The Young Single Adults (YSA) from the Tubod Philippines Stake and Surigao Philippines District gathered at the Kitcharao Chapel for their first combined Summer Activity Camp. The two-day event celebrated unity, faith, and friendship as participants from different wards and branches came together to build friendships, strengthen testimonies, and form lasting bonds centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Led by President Norman Dolorfino, the Stake President of Tubod Philippines Stake Presidency, the camp fostered a strong sense of unity and belonging. It showed that despite differences in background and location, participants were one in Christ.

The camp included uplifting activities that blended recreation, learning, and fellowship, such as team-building games, a Gospel Quiz, and other interactive group events that helped participants connect. A joyful barbecue dinner was one of the highlights, giving everyone time to enjoy food, laughter, and meaningful conversations in a warm and friendly setting.

The second day continued with lively and uplifting activities, beginning with a morning Zumba session that set an energetic tone. The most memorable part of the camp was the testimony-sharing session, where participants expressed gratitude for the friendships they had formed, the spiritual lessons they had learned, and the deep sense of unity they experienced throughout the event.

More than a summer event, the camp served as a meaningful reminder of unity and fellowship in Christ. As participants returned to their areas, they carried with them stronger testimonies, new friendships, and a renewed commitment to live in harmony and love as followers of Jesus Christ.

On a sunny morning, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, a meaningful partnership between faith and education unfolded at Kitcharao Central Elementary School (KCES). At 11:00 AM, school teachers, division personnel, and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered for a historic Turnover and Acceptance Ceremony. This collaboration serves as a powerful testament to their shared commitment to the rising generation, marked by a donation valued at โ‚ฑ3,917,617.20 ($71,230.12).

The donation includes:
โ€ข 80 Smart TVs โ€” โ‚ฑ1,552,000.00
โ€ข 40 Desktop Computers โ€” โ‚ฑ1,020,000.00
โ€ข 2 Printers โ€” โ‚ฑ22,400.00
โ€ข 580 Monobloc Chairs โ€” โ‚ฑ215,064.00
โ€ข 720 Monobloc Armchairs โ€” โ‚ฑ921,600.00

Mr. Norman D. Dolorfino, Welfare and Self-Reliance Manager, opened the messages by grounding the project in the principle of selfless service. In the scripture Mosiah 2:17, it is written: โ€œโ€ฆwhen ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.โ€ Expressing the heart of the mission, he emphasized, โ€œWe are after the impact of this donation on our children,โ€ echoing the conviction of Dr. Jose Rizal that *โ€œAng kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.โ€*

President Rodulfo K. Narciso Jr. spoke deeply about the doctrine of love and the sacrifice behind the gift. In the scripture John 15:13, it is written: โ€œGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.โ€ He clarified that the Church does not simply have unlimited funds; rather, the donation is made possible through the personal sacrifices of its members through "fast offerings". He explained that on the first Sunday of each month, members are encouraged to fast by skipping two meals, and the money saved is given to the Church as a fast offering to care for those in need.

Reflecting on the Saviorโ€™s teachings in John 13:34, which states, โ€œโ€ฆThat ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,โ€ President Narciso shared a heartfelt message with the educators: โ€œI hope that you feel our love today. Everything you seeโ€”this is our way of showing our love for you. I hope you will always remember that you are loved by the members of the Church and by Jesus Christ Himself.โ€

Dr. Hector Macalalag, PhD, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and the representative from the Department of Education sector, addressed the vital necessity of innovation in modern education. In a touching moment, he acknowledged the wife of the Stake President of the Tubod Philippines Stake, Rowena โ€œWengโ€ Dolorfino, emphasizing that โ€œbehind every successful husband is a supportive wife.โ€ He honored her for her constant encouragement and support for her husband, President Norman Dolorfino.

Comparing todayโ€™s educational challenges to the fall of Nokia, he warned that a failure to innovate is a failure to prepare our children for the future. โ€œIt takes a village to raise a child,โ€ he declared, emphasizing that everyoneโ€™s help is needed to fill the gap.

The heart of the event was the official Turnover and Acceptance, led by District Supervisor Eliasa M. Montante, who formally accepted the donation with these words:

โ€œOn behalf of the Kitcharao District, composed of 14 school heads, 5,200 learners, and 228 teachers, it is my distinct privilege to accept these digital devices, school equipment, and furniture. We pledge and commit to making our learning environment meaningful for our learners. We pledge to improve learning outcomes and maximize the use of these devices to elevate school performance to the best possible level. Thank you so much to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; this will serve as a gift of hope to all of us.โ€

The program concluded with closing remarks from Ian Kristoffer F. Basco, School Principal I of KCES, and a prayer offered by Sergio S. Aznar.

The ceremony stood as a powerful reminder that when love and service become the foundation, no gap is too wide to bridge. Through this partnership, it is affirmed that the love of the Savior, Jesus Christ, is extended to all.

Kitcharao, Philippines โ€” The Tubod Philippines Stake held its Seminary and Institute Graduation on May 31, 2026, at the Kitcharao Chapel, honoring eight Seminary graduates and three Institute graduates for their faith, diligence, and commitment to gospel learning.

The event was presided over by President Ronald M. Kapunan, First Counselor in the Tubod Philippines Stake Presidency, with Brother Rexy C. Corotan as conductor.

Among the highlights of the event were the inspirational messages delivered by the two speakers. Brother Shan M. Elic, a Seminary graduate, spoke about how Seminary had positively influenced and strengthened his life and testimony. Referring to Alma 37:6, he shared, โ€œBy small and simple things are great things brought to pass.โ€ He testified that although Seminary may appear to be a simple program, it had greatly helped him deepen his knowledge of Jesus Christ and strengthen his testimony of the gospel.

Brother Erold K. Narciso, an Institute graduate, spoke on the blessings that come through perseverance, goal-setting, and continued gospel learning. He reflected on the challenges he experienced before receiving the blessing of graduating from the Institute program and emphasized the importance of seeking both spiritual and secular knowledge. Quoting Doctrine and Covenants 88:118, he stated: โ€œSeek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.โ€ He encouraged the graduates to continue strengthening their testimonies through diligent study and faithful discipleship.

The program also featured musical presentations by Seminary and Institute students from the Tubod Ward, along with testimonies from graduates expressing gratitude for the influence of Seminary and Institute in their lives.

Elder Romualdo A. Bigornia offered concluding remarks, emphasizing the true purpose of Seminary and Institute programs. He reminded the graduates that gospel learning extends beyond acquiring doctrinal knowledge and helps individuals build stronger relationships with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and others. He acknowledged the sincerity of the testimonies shared during the program and encouraged the graduates to remain steadfast in their faith.

President Ronald M. Kapunan likewise shared words of encouragement, inviting the graduates to continue pursuing gospel learning even after graduation. He taught that consistent and faithful efforts in spiritual learning can bring greater blessings and opportunities throughout life.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates and diplomas to the graduates, recognizing their dedication, commitment, and spiritual achievements. Through their participation in Seminary and Institute, these young men and women strengthened their testimonies and deepened their understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, preparing them to continue faithfully on the covenant path.

Miague, Stake High Councilor, who spoke on โ€œNonverbal Communication During an Interview.โ€ In his presentation, he explained the importance of body language, eye contact, posture, and confidence when communicating with potential employers. He also discussed the doโ€™s and donโ€™ts during an interview, helping the participants better understand how to present themselves professionally.

During the second part of the activity, the YSAs were given the opportunity to create and finalize their own resumes. After completing their resumes, they printed them and proceeded to participate in a mock interview session. Various job scenarios were prepared, and interviewers were assigned to simulate real hiring situations, allowing the participants to experience what an actual job interview might be like.

Each YSA who attended the activity successfully crafted their resume and was interviewed individually. Many expressed their appreciation for the experience, sharing that the activity helped them gain confidence and practical knowledge. As some participants shared, โ€œIt really helped us to be prepared for future opportunities.โ€

The activity proved to be both educational and empowering for the young single adults, equipping them with important skills that will help them in their career paths. Through initiatives like this, the Tubod Philippines Stake continues to support the growth and development of the rising generation, helping them prepare not only spiritually but also temporally for the opportunities that lie ahead.

With hearts prepared and spirits uplifted, members of the Tubod Philippines Stake gathered for the General Session of Stake Conference to receive inspired counsel and direction for these latter days. The session was presided over by Elder Eduardo Argana, Area Seventy, and conducted by President Norman D. Dolorfino, Stake President.

In his address, President Norman D. Dolorfino centered his message on the theme, โ€œHow We Can Prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.โ€ He reminded members that preparation is both personal and continuous. Using the analogy of Noahโ€™s ark, he taught, โ€œThe ark was not designed for steering; it was designed for floating.โ€ Just as the ark relied on the Lordโ€™s direction, members today must rely fully on the Savior rather than attempting to navigate life alone.

President Dolorfino emphasized that true safety comes from dedicating oneโ€™s life to Jesus Christ. He testified, โ€œAs we dedicate our life to the Savior Jesus Christ, He will guide us.โ€ He further reminded the congregation that the Lord has not left His children without direction, declaring, โ€œThe Lord has given us a map already in order for us to go back to His presence.โ€ Through scriptures, living prophets, and faithful obedience, members can confidently prepare for the Saviorโ€™s return.

A heartfelt testimony was borne by Sister Angel Mozar, of Matin-ao Branch, who strengthened the faith of the congregation as she shared her witness of the gospel and her gratitude for the Lordโ€™s guidance in her life.

Additional counsel was provided by President Darasin, who encouraged members to remain steadfast, faithful, and united as a stake family.
In his concluding message, Elder Eduardo Argana delivered powerful reminders about discipleship and spiritual focus. He taught that righteous actions shape character, stating, โ€œIf we do good things, it brings more light into our character.โ€ He emphasized that in a world full of distractions and challenges, members must ensure that their anchor is firmly centered on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The General Session concluded with renewed faith and determination among the members of the Tubod Philippines Stake. The inspired messages reminded all in attendance that preparation for the Second Coming begins todayโ€”through obedience, devotion, and unwavering trust in the Savior Jesus Christ.
