As we end the solemn journey in today's holy week, may we also extend and appreciate all the servers who give love, time, sacrifices, effort, and commitment in serving the Lord with their wholehearted hearts.

Thank you to all of the 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙐𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 & 𝙐𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 - 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝘿𝙍 members of 𝙑𝙞𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙯 𝙮 𝘽𝙪𝙚𝙣 𝙑𝙞𝙖𝙟𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝—for faithfully journeying together with full compassion and devotion, ensuring the mass was conducted with order, grace, safety, and comfort for each one of the parishioners. Your life of faithful and dedicated service continues to inspire us to love more deeply, serve more selflessly, and follow Christ more closely. Thank you, Bishop, for your unwavering guidance and pastoral care.

The Ministry of Altar Servers of Virgen de la Paz y Buen Viaje Parish faithfully served in .

During Holy Week, the days feel longer, the responsibilities heavier, and the silence deeper. Yet in the middle of it all, something sacred unfolds. Because beyond the routine and the weariness, each act of service becomes a response to a call one that is not always easy, but always meaningful.

HIGHLIGHTS | ALLELUIA AT DAWN: Sugat Kabanhawan

At the break of dawn, when silence still clung to the morning air, joy began to rise, not from the skies, but from the hearts of the faithful. In the sacred encounter of the Sugat Kabanhawan 2026, sorrow met hope, and hope blossomed into uncontainable joy. The little angels, clothed in innocence and wonder, became gentle bearers of a truth the world longs to hear, that grief does not have the final word.

There, in that holy moment, we witnessed more than a tradition, we witnessed love restored, a reunion that echoes through every wounded heart.
And as the Holy Mass was celebrated, that joy deepened into something eternal. It was no longer just seen, it was received, it was lived.

For today is not merely a remembrance. It is a victory.
A triumph that shattered the grave.
A triumph that restores, renews, and redeems.

Christ is risen, and in Him, joy rises with us.

We would like to congratulate and thank all the casts and committees who dedicated their time, talent, and faith to make 𝐕𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 a meaningful and prayerful experience.

We would also to extend our sincere appreciation to 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐥 of 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏 for generously opening its doors to the casts and committees of Via Crucis 2026. Your kindness in allowing us to stay overnight provided not only a place of rest, but a space where dedication, unity, and faith came together as we prepared for this meaningful Lenten devotion. ✨

Special thanks as well to our 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 headed by 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐳 for the support and for lovingly preparing the food that sustained us throughout our preparations, to our 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 - 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Beneath the Rain, We Walked the Cross

The skies did not hold back, and neither did we.

With every drop of rain that fell, the weight of the Cross felt closer, more real. Each step echoing the suffering, love, and sacrifice of Christ. The path was wet, the journey heavy, yet hearts remained steadfast. For in the quiet rhythm of rain and prayer, we did not just remember His Passion, we entered into it.

In the cold and the mud, grace was present.

The rain became our companion, like tears from heaven, reminding us that love endures, even in discomfort, even in silence. And as we walked from station to station, we carried not only the Cross, but our own burdens, our own stories—offered in union with His.

Because sometimes, it is in the storm, that faith is most alive.

Today, we congratulate Rev. Fr. Bernard "B**g" Corpuz, MSC for his “yes”, a renewal not just of vows, but of a life completely given.

Your priesthood is not only seen in the altar, but in the hidden sacrifices, the silent prayers, and the countless ways you choose to stay with your people, even when it is difficult, even when it is heavy.

In a world that often walks away, you remain.
In moments when faith feels fragile, you stand.
And in times when hearts are weary, you become a gentle reminder that God has not left us.

Today, as you renew your priestly promises, we do not just congratulate you, we thank you. For your “yes” that continues, for your love that perseveres, and for your life that speaks of Christ more than words ever could.

Palm Sunday Celebration Marks Start of Holy Week in Surigao City

March 29, 2026 marks a solemn yet triumphant celebration of Palm Sunday, signaling the beginning of the sacred journey of Holy Week.

At 5:00 AM, Surigaonons from Brgy. Taft and neighboring barangays gather beside the TT & Company Building for the Rite of Blessing of the Palms. This is followed by a meaningful procession to the Virgen de la Paz y Buen Viaje Parish, located in Borromeo street, Surigao City.

Rev. Fr. Bernard R. Corpuz, MSC leads the Palm Sunday Blessing of Palms and Mass at the said church in Barangay Taft, Surigao City.

We warmly invites all parishioners and ministries to attend our 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. This upcoming March 30, 2026 (7:00pm to 9:00pm). Our Resource Speaker is Sr. Resalin Laguna, LGC, who will guide us in reflection and spiritual renewal during this Lenten season.
