The world has its own worries

Ø 7.Military Conflict
Ø 8. Climate Change
What are ‘your’ worries?
A. Physical Needs: Worrying about what to eat, drink, or wear.
B. The Future: Fear of upcoming events, danger, or the unknown.
C. Control: Attempting to manage things outside of one's control.
D. Lack of Faith: Rooted in doubting God's power and care
Ø What are the causes of all these worries?
Ø Fixation on Worldly Things
Ø Fear of the Future/Control
Ø Unconfessed Sin
Ø Satanic Influence
Ø Lack of Faith/Trust in God
Ø How to overcome worries? TRUST GOD!!!
T- TRUTH (cling to truth)– trusting God is the foundation of truth, source of peace, strength and direction (Jer 17:7-8; Isa 26:3)
R- REVERENCE TO GOD worship God with reverence
U- UNWAVERING or steadfast trust (Heb 10:23, Cor 15:58, Romans 4:20)
S- SELF DENIAL (deny yourself) Matt 16:24, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23
T – THANKFUL – 1 Thes 5:18
Ø How to trust God?
1. Lean Not on Your Own Understanding: Actively surrender your need for control, acknowledging God in all areas of life (Proverbs 3:5-6).
2. Root Faith in God’s Character: Trust that God is a loving Father who works all things for good, rather than basing your security on shifting circumstances (Rom 8:28, Matt 7:9-11).
3. Shift from Anxiety to Prayer Replace worry with prayer and gratitude, which demonstrates dependence on God (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:7).
4. Act in Obedience: True trust requires stepping out in faith, even when you cannot see the full picture
5. Wait on the Lord's Timing: Patiently rely on God’s perfect timing rather than rushing ahead out of fear or impatience
6. Use Scripture to Fight Doubt Combat worry and doubt by meditating on God's promises and remembering His past faithfulness.

a. Shift Focus from Results to Faith

c. View People as Vessels, not Sources
d. Let Go of Fear

Ø Conclusion:
God provides "perfect peace" to those who keep their minds fixed on Him and trust in Him, not as an absence of trouble, but as a deep, unwavering security that surpasses understanding, rooted in reliance on God's character and promises, even amidst life's difficulties. (Isaiah 26:3)
