On May 23, 2026, branch presidents, counselors, and livelihood and employment specialist from the Surigao Philippines District gathered at the Narciso Meetinghouse in Surigao City for a humanitarian services training organized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Loehl Garnneth Gementiza, Humanitarian Project Manager, presented several Church welfare and self-reliance programs including the Starting My Business program, the Perpetual Education Fund, the Child Nutrition Program, and the Food Consumption program, equipping local leaders with practical tools to better serve the families in their congregations.
The training was presided over by Surigao Philippines District President Mark Joseph Angob.
