CALL FOR DONATIONS

A strong earthquake has affected many families in Mindanao, leaving communities in urgent need of assistance. In response, the Social Action Center of the Diocese of Marbel is accepting donations to assist affected families and communities. Donations received will be used to provide immediate assistance to affected families, including food packs, clean water, and other emergency needs.

We appeal to your generosity and solidarity during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help bring relief and hope to those affected.

Yesterday marked the beautiful culmination of Flores de Mayo—a month-long celebration of faith, love, and devotion offered to Mama Mary with the 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: 𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐤𝐚𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐬𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨. ​From every flower carried to every prayer whispered, the morning was filled with grace, gratitude, and unforgettable memories.
Making this culmination even more sacred was the blessing of our children receiving Jesus for the very first time in their First Holy Communion. Welcoming the Holy Sacrament into their hearts alongside our offering to Mama Mary made the entire celebration overflow with divine love.
​Seeing everyone united in faith, wearing their brightest smiles and offering their hearts with sincerity, made the morning truly meaningful.

​As the month of May comes to an end, may the blessings, joy, and lessons of this devotion continue to bloom in our hearts every day. Thank you, Mama Mary, for guiding us with your love, and thank you, Lord, for the gift of the Holy Eucharist.

Fr. Floro was born on December 22, 1947,
in Lagao, General Santos City.

He was ordained to the priesthood
on April 20, 1974,
at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish,
Lagao, General Santos City,
by Most Rev. Reginald Arliss, CP, D.D.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of his soul and thank God for the gift of his priestly life and ministry.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

SULONG PADAYON: Pananagutan sa Pagbabago, Pag-asa ng Pilipino.

This year, our Lenten journey is guided by the theme “Sulong Padayon: Pananagutan sa Pagbabago, Pag-Asa ng Pilipino.” Inspired by the CBCP’s call to synodality and our shared journey as a listening and discerning Church, and strengthened by the 50-year legacy of Alay Kapwa, this theme is the direction we take, the path we choose.

✨ Pag-asa that refuses to die.
🤝 Pananagutan that says, “Kapwa Ko, Pananagutan Ko.”
🔥 Pagbabago that moves from relief to lasting transformation.

This Ash Wednesday may our prayer deepen our compassion, our fasting strengthen our integrity, and our almsgiving become organized hope for the poor.

This Lenten Season, let our palms become open hands.
Let our sacrifices become solidarity.
Let our faith become action.
