Marking the close of Great and Holy Lent, the Paschal or Easter Triduum is the Churchโs most solemn celebration, ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ด๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ. In fact, it is more important than Christmas, because it commemorates the central mystery of the Christian faith.
During these holiest days, the Church enters into the Passion, Suffering, and Death of the Lord Jesus Christ, and then rejoices in His glorious resurrection, the triumph of the Holy Cross and Christโs definitive victory over sin and death. This is the very reason why Christmas happened: Christ was born so that He might redeem the world.
The Paschal Triduum begins with the Evening Mass of the Lordโs Supper on Holy Thursday and concludes with the Easter Vigil Mass. Though it spans three chronological days, it is liturgically celebrated as one continuous day, unfolding before us the unity and fullness of Christโs saving work.
