Vote buying and selling is clearly Haraam. A leader who buys votes and making his people sell their votes is clearly leading the people to a Haraam path. Let's stop electing these kind of people.

Did you know that if a candidate is successfully elected after buying your vote for 3000pesos, he will have an authority in you and have the powerful to control your community for the next 1,096.5 days. If you divide this number of days to the amount he bought you with, you would only worth 2.74pesos everyday. Yes, for that cheap amount of money, politicians are able to buy you and control you every single day for the next 3 years of your life whereas if you vote for who you believe is running with best intentions for the ummah, you will be electing someone for the sake of Islam and Allah and the reward to that, just like your true worth, is immeasurable. 🙂

"The vote, according to Shari’iah, must not be wasted, because that is regarded as a betrayal and Allah (SWT) warns: “O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know (the consequence). “ (8:27)

The trust requires that a voter selects a trusted and just candidate seeking for political office, who abides by the limits set by Allah (SWT), and is able to competently manage the post he is to be voted for. Allah says: “Indeed, the best one you can hire is strong and trustworthy.” (28: 26) That is why the idea of vote buying and selling is totally discouraged in Islam."

Fasting has been affirmed on the day of 'Arafah, where it has been confirmed from the Prophet, peace be upon him, that he said regarding fasting on the day of 'Arafah: "Be content with the fact that Allah will expiate for you your sins for the year before (the day of 'Arafah) and the year after (the day of 'Arafah)." Muslim

Let's fast on Thursday, August 31, in shaa Allah.
ADVANCE HAPPY EID'L ADHA AL-MUBARAK!!! :)

Use these nights wisely. Below are a few tips:
1. Now is the time for du'a, prayer, reciting the Qur'an and dhikr. If you become tired in one act of worship, change to something else.
2. Don't waste time, you can sleep and chill for the rest of the year. Even if you go to work, try to stay awake for as much of the night as you can, and sleep after work. Its hard, but remember that one night is equal to a 1,000 months.
3. If you pray taraweeh, you have 2 options; don't pray witr with the imam so you can continue praying at home, and if you do pray witr with the imam then use your night in Qur'an and du'a.
4. Encourage your family members to worship during these nights. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would awake his family members during the last 10.
5. Now is the time to ask Allah for all your needs, dunya and akhirah. Make du'a for your family and the Ummah too.
6. Don't forget to set a portion of the night aside for making tawbah, either in your prayer or outside of it.
7. Remember that Allah does not tire until you tire, and He will not turn away from you until you turn away from Him.
8. Seek Laylat al-Qadr. It is most likely to be in one of the odd nights from the last 10. However, to ensure you don't miss out, worship through all 10 nights, if you're unable to then choose the odd nights.
9. Remember to pay Zakat al-Fitr before Eid. It is obligatory on every member of the household (even kids).
May Allah allow us to witness Laylat al-Qadr and may He shower us with His mercy during these blessed nights.

Have a more blessed Ramadhan by extending help to your Meranao brothers and sisters who were displaced due to the attacks in Marawi City. It is very disheartening that they will be spending Ramadhan away from home and are starving in avacuation centers having no enough food supply for Suhor and Iftar. Please drop your generous donations at the masjid nearest you or contact the indicated numbers. Always include them in your du'ah. May Allah bless you for it. :-)

"We are the test to people and the people are test to us," says an orphan Syrian refuge in Jordan refering to those who care and who just don't care.

Did you know that our foundation is presently working for a project that will provide more classrooms for our orphans? Anyone who wish to be part of this sadaqa jariyyah must contact our officials at once. May ALLAH accept it from us. :)
