After much time, service, and many memories, the Social Communications Ministry would like to share our current situation.
For the past years, our team has been serving the parish through livestreaming, PowerPoint presentations, documentation, and media coverage of parish events. All of these were done by volunteers who offered their time, skills, effort, and even personal equipment just to make sure that every Mass and parish event could be seen and experienced by more people, especially those who could not attend physically.
However, as time goes by, the ministry has faced several challenges, especially with equipment, resources, and sustainability. Many of the tools we used were personal laptops, personal cameras, and personal phones of the volunteers. Some equipment have already broken, and some are no longer capable of supporting the needs of the ministry. Despite this, the team continued to serve, especially during big events like Holy Week, balancing ministry, work, studies, and personal responsibilities.
This message is not to complain, but to inform and to be honest about our situation. The ministry cannot rely forever on personal equipment and personal resources of volunteers. For the ministry to continue and grow, proper support, planning, and resources are necessary so that the next members of the ministry will not experience the same difficulties again.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to serve the parish through media and technology. We learned a lot, we served with our hearts, and we offered our time and skills for the Church.
Whatever happens next, we hope that the Social Communications Ministry will continue to grow, be supported, and serve the parish for many more years.
Thank you to everyone who supported, trusted, and worked with the Social Communications Ministry. This ministry was never just about cameras, laptops, or livestreams, it was always about service.
Best Regards,
Social Communications Ministry of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Juban
