The Sorsogon Philippines District Young Women Organization celebrated international food and fashion, showcasing their culinary skills and creativity at the District Center on July 25, 2026.

Attended by young women and their leaders from six local church units, the activity inspired girls and women to care for themselves and for each other as they strive to follow Christ in everything they do.

Youth and young adults from the Sorsogon Philippines District received their Seminary and Institute (religious education) diplomas at the District Center in Balogo, Sorsogon City, on June 28, 2026.

"Seminary is a four-year program in which youth study the gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the scriptures and the teachings of latter-day prophets. Seminary students are generally 14–18 years old.

"Institute provides weekday gospel study classes that strengthen faith and testimony in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. [L}eaders ensure that institute is available for all young adults ages 18–35. All young single adults ages 18–35 should be encouraged to attend institute classes, whether they are attending school or not. Married young adults are also welcome to attend" (churchofjesuschrist.org).

The Diocese of Sorsogon had cordially invited the Communication Council of the Sorsogon Philippines District to a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration in commemoration of their Diamond (75th) Jubilee.

In support of their interfaith brothers and sisters, the Sorsogon Philippines District Communication Council joined the aforementioned celebration at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Sorsogon City, on June 29, 2026.

The Self-Reliance Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers classes such as Education for Better Work, Emotional Resilience, English Connect, Personal Finances, Strengthening Marriage and Children and Starting and Growing My Business to help church members and friends become temporally and spiritually self-reliant.

The Sorsogon Philippines District Primary Organization successfully conducted a day camp for children ages 8-11 at the District Center on June 13, 2026.

The kids enjoyed zumba and team building activities such as poster making and a gospel hunt. They also learned about proper hygiene and dressing modestly and participated in an emergency response training.

In answer to prayer and under the direction of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery and conferred upon them the Aaronic Priesthood on May 15, 1829, in Harmony, Pennsylvania.
