𝘾𝙔𝙁 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 & 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 | 𝙀.𝙔. 2026–2028 ✨

Last May 9, the CYF held its Election of Officers for E.Y. 2026 - 2028 — a meaningful gathering filled with reflection, learning, and commitment to God’s calling for leadership.

The activity began with a devotion led by outgoing CYF President, Franklin Tandoc, who shared the inspiring story of Joshua and his journey toward becoming a faithful and courageous leader. He highlighted how Joshua first learned to serve before he was entrusted to lead — as a servant of Moses, a warrior for God’s people, and one of the spies sent to explore the Promised Land.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

It was emphasized that Joshua’s leadership journey was not perfect. He experienced victories and failures, moments of confidence and moments of fear. Yet despite these challenges, Joshua remained faithful and obedient to God. His success did not come from perfection, but from trusting God completely.

Several important lessons were shared for outgoing leaders, incoming leaders, and followers:
• Leadership begins with service
• We must lead by example
• Courage rooted in faith is essential
• Obedience to God must remain our foundation
• Even when we feel inadequate, God can still use us mightily

Following the devotion, CYF President Franklin Tandoc together with CYF Adviser Aubrey Ruby Liray discussed important portions of the ABKD ng CYF relevant to the election process, including the CYF Objectives, Membership, Roles and Responsibilities of Officers, and the different Committees of the organization. This reminded everyone that leadership in the CYF is not simply a position, but a ministry and responsibility entrusted by God and the church.

Afterward, the election proper was conducted, resulting in the election of the new set of officers who will serve for E.Y. 2026–2028:

On May 10, the Sorsogon Evangelical Church warmly welcomed and officially installed the newly elected CYF officers. These young leaders committed themselves to serving God, strengthening the fellowship, and guiding fellow youth toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

Congratulations to all the newly elected and installed officers! May your leadership be fruitful, Christ-centered, and always guided by God’s purpose and grace. 🙏 🤍

𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞

Last May 2, we were blessed to have our devotion led by Angelo Bondad as he shared God’s Word based on Proverbs 19:21:

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Through the message, we were reminded that although we make our own plans and set our own goals, God’s purpose will always be greater and more perfect than anything we can imagine. There may be moments when things do not go according to our plans, but God remains faithful and continues to lead us toward the path He has prepared for us.

It was truly a meaningful time of reflection and encouragement as we learned to surrender our worries, uncertainties, and future to the Lord. We were reminded that trusting God means believing that His plans are always for our good, even when we do not fully understand His ways.

𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞

Last April 25, we were blessed to have our devotion led by Luige Cabebe, who recently took and passed the board exam along with Franklin Tandoc. He shared his journey filled with challenges, doubts, and victories. Bro. Luige and Bro. Franklin’s journey reminds us that success is not always easy, but always meaningful with God.

It was a time of listening and encouragement as we saw how God works not only through victories but also through moments of weakness and uncertainty. We were reminded that every battle has a reason and that our steps, whether planned or unexpected, are guided by God.

We were also blessed to have our little visitors from Inapugan, Pilar together with Pastor Juel Karl Erandio. May your time with us be filled with joy and always remember that Jesus is with you wherever you go.

Last April 18, we were blessed to have our devotion led by Jireh, where we spent the time sharing our personal experiences about friendship. It was not just the joys but also lessons from our own stories. It was a blessed moment of openness, and connection as we listened to one another and reflected on God’s Word.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩❤️‍🔥🎶

We gathered at Balogo Sports Complex where we had a youth fellowship led by Kuya Rab. The time was spent singing praises and worshipping our Lord with joy and unity. We shared snacks while we enjoy and engage in an open Q&A about faith and Christian life. Others even had some testimonies and experiences which greatly inspired all of us. We are grateful by the presence of Bro. Gian and Sis. Lyka from IVCF Sorsogon, and we look forward to more fellowship together. It was a simple time of gathering and singing for Jesus alone.✝

𝐀 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩✨

We came together for an overnight fellowship filled with meaningful time and connection. The afternoon was spent painting eggs as everyone prepared for Easter Sunday. Dinner was shared, followed by open talks and honest questions about faith and Holy Week. A night of deep connection, joy, and solid fellowship in Christ. ✝

The Christian Youth Fellowship held a leadership training last December 20, 2025, entitled 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐍 with the theme “Rising Leaders for God’s Mission” that inspired participants to embrace their 𝐆𝐨𝐝-𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 with the Bible references 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 1:4-10 and 2 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 22. Following the examples of 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 and 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐡, the event showed that 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫 and that 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 who is willing to 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞.

In the first session, Godly Leaders Don’t Wait – They Obey, 𝐏𝐭𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳 shared how 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 and that 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The second session, No Excuses For God’s Mission: Young But Called, Chosen and Sustained, led by 𝐑𝐞𝐯.𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐀. 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐨. Where he emphasized that 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 and that 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Last November 29, 2025, in celebration of 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒂𝒚, the 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 – 𝑨𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒔 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 (ACDC – PH – 0465) together with the SEC- 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 (CYF), held an outreach program in 𝑪𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒅-𝒂𝒏, 𝑩𝑵𝑪𝑪 𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒈𝒐𝒏.

This event became possible through the collective support of our 𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒔, 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 who warmly welcomed us.
