Today, we honor ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐๐น๐ฒ, also known as ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ, brother of Saint John the Evangelist and one of the Twelve Apostles of Christ.
James was one of the three apostles who were especially close to Jesus. He witnessed many of Christ's great moments, including His Transfiguration and His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Though he was not perfect when he first followed Jesus, he slowly learned to become more humble and faithful.
Jesus taught James an important lesson: true greatness is not about being in the highest position, but about becoming a servant to others. James left behind his fishing nets and his former life to follow Christ and dedicate himself to the mission of spreading the Gospel.
May the life of Saint James remind us that following Jesus is a journey of growth. Like him, may we learn to leave behind our pride, grow in humility, and faithfully serve God and others.
