🌿 Selah Daily Scripture
Walking with Christ — Theme 3: The Words That Shape the Soul
Day 18 — Words That Purify
📖 John 15:3 (KJV)
“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”
🌾 Selah Reflection
The Word does not leave us exposed.
What Christ reveals,
He also restores.
After the heart is uncovered,
we might expect distance or shame—
but instead,
He draws us nearer.
His words carry a quiet power:
they cleanse.
Not by force,
but by truth received.
Not instantly,
but steadily—
as we remain open to what He speaks.
The same Word
that brings hidden things into light
also washes them.
Conviction, then,
is not condemnation.
It is invitation—
to be made new.
The soul is not purified
by striving harder,
but by allowing truth
to remain longer.
And as it remains,
it reshapes.
Selah—pause here.
Let what Christ has revealed
become what He now restores.
🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Your Word reveals me—
and yet, it does not leave me undone.
Thank You
that Your truth cleanses
what it uncovers.
Where my heart has been exposed,
let Your Word now restore.
Wash away what is not of You—
quietly, patiently, deeply.
Teach me not to resist conviction,
but to receive it
as the beginning of renewal.
Let Your words remain in me
until what is old fades,
and what is new takes root.
Make me clean through Your truth.
Amen.
