The Pastor's Calling
It is more than standing behind a pulpit.
It is more than preaching sermons, leading services, and attending meetings.
It is a calling that demands faith, love, courage, dedication, endurance, and sacrifice and more...
The pastor cares for the sheep while watching for the wolves.
They carries the burdens of others while quietly carrying their own burdens.
They do everything to encourage people even when they are going through discouragements.
They strengthens others even when they are feeling weak.
They pray for people who may never know how that their names are mentioned before God day and night.
The pastors does their best to live a blameless life, yet they may still become the subject of criticism, misunderstanding, gossip, and unfair judgment.
They stay up late at night or wake up early when everybody is sleeping preparing spiritual food for the flock.
They studies when others are resting.
They do home & hospital visits even when they are tired.
They listen even when their own heart is heavy.
They give advice and counsel while also needing encouragement themselves.
They rejoice with those who rejoice and weeps with those who weep.
They deal with the problems of others while facing problems in their own family, finances, health, emotions, and personal life.
The Chief Shepherd sees every prayer, every tear, every sacrifice, and every unseen act of faithfulness.
