IN FRAME: In a spirit of faith, unity, and discernment, five priests considered as bishoppables began their parish round-up visits across the Bucas Deanery- Diocese of Siargao, warmly welcomed by the congregations of Atoyay Parish, Nueva Estrella Parish and Del Pilar Mission. These visits provide the faithful with the opportunity to meet the priests being prayerfully considered for the episcopal ministry in the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, fostering moments of fellowship, reflection, and shared prayer.
During one of the visits, the congregation of Atoyay Parish spearheaded by ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐'๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐น๐๐ป ๐ฉ. ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ- ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ , gathered with joy and reverence to welcome the visiting priests. The Bishoppables took this opportunity to introduce their personal backgrounds, pastoral experiences, and platformsโsharing their vision, priorities, and commitment to serving the faithful in the diocese. Parishioners listened attentively, prayed together, and engaged in dialogue, strengthening the bond between the Churchโs leaders and its communities.
The encounters allowed the faithful to witness firsthand the dedication and pastoral spirit of the candidates. It was also a moment for the congregation to reflect on the importance of prayerful discernment in choosing a shepherd who will guide the diocese with wisdom, compassion, and faithfulness.
As the Diocese continues the process of discernment, the faithful remain committed to offering prayers for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that the Church may be led by a shepherd who will faithfully nurture the spiritual growth of its members.
