[Verse 1:]
The Pharisees and teachers said to Him,
“Show us a sign—prove You are the King.”
But faith in Him was never what they sought,
They wanted wonders, not the truth He taught.
[Chorus:]
A wicked generation cries for signs from heaven,
But only the prophet Jonah’s sign will be given.
He spent three days and nights in the great fish before rebirth,
So I'll rise in three days from the heart of the earth.
[Verse 2:]
Nineveh will rise and surely condemn,
For they repented at Jonah’s word back then.
The Queen of the South will also rise and condemn,
She came from afar to seek Solomon’s wisdom.
[Bridge:]
When an unclean spirit leaves, and seeks a home,
Wandering empty, restless, and all alone.
Returning finds the house empty, swept with care,
Then brings back seven more, for greater despair.
Hearts left empty will find no home,
Until the greatest sign is shown.

A faithless generation cries for signs from heaven,
But only Jonah’s sign will ever be given.
Three days and nights in the grave before new birth,
So I'll rise in three days from the heart of the earth.

So it will be with this generation, lost and blind,
Chasing their religion, but leaving truth behind.
Your final condition will be far worse than before,
For your false religion has closed heaven’s door.
Repent, turn to Me, and make Me your Lord,
Then the promise of heaven will be restored.
