If we don’t know who God is — if we just consider him this “distant, far off somebody”, then we aren’t going to love him. You can’t love someone, truly love someone, that you don’t know.✖️ But when we get to know our Heavenly Father through consistent time pouring over his truths and revealed heart in the Word, and through prayer and fellowship, we’ll be compelled to live for Him.⁣

Because when you truly know God, you can’t help but love Him. 🤍🙏🏼 And when you love Him, you can’t help but want to live for Him. To follow Him. To give your life to Him. To obey Him. Even if it’s hard and even if some days you mess up. Because He’s just that GOOD. 🤍

⁣Start with:⁣
🤍 Daily reading the Word. 📖 Not to check off a list, because that will lead to burnout and legalism, but to spend time with Him so you can know and desire Him. Read through entire books of the Bible and be on the lookout for God’s character and qualities. Learn about what He has done for His people, what He promises, and what He says about you.
