The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Philippines Bacolod North Stake and Bacolod Philippines Stake will conduct a Bloodletting Activity on March 16, 2023, 8AM-12NN, at the Talisay Chapel.

Blood donation drives are a part of the Church's humanitarian efforts. The upcoming event align with the Church's principles of service and community outreach, aiming to support those in need. By organizing blood donation drives, the Church helps address critical shortages in blood supply, potentially saving lives and improving healthcare accessibility. Participation in such initiatives reflects the Church's commitment to altruism and caring for others, fostering a sense of unity and compassion within its members and the broader community. Overall, these efforts contribute positively to public health and well-being.

We're inviting you to take part in saving a life by donating a blood. If you're a healthy man or woman, at least 50kgs. and ages 16-65 years old, join us and be with us. Please be guided accordingly on what to do before donating. See you all there! ❤️

We are delighted to announce the first Philippines Area-wide Church History Broadcast for the Youth and YSA with Elder Kyle S. McKay, Church Historian and Recorder, and his wife, Sister Jennifer S. McKay, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 7:00 PM.

All youth and YSAs of the Church are invited to view this program virtually with their families and friends. Members are encouraged to gather at their meetinghouses if internet connection is challenging at home.

This coming November 11, 2023, 8AM-12PM, at the Bacolod North Stake Center (Talisay Chapel), we'll be having a donation drive through blood with theme, "BE A LIFESAVER; DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES TOGETHER!" Thus, we are in need for blood donors.

Requirements:
📍At least 50kg;
📍16-65 years old;
📍Ages 16-17 years old must secure a written consent from a parent or legal guardian; and
📍Ages 61-65 years old must be a frequent donor.

What to do before donating blood?
📍Sleep at least 7 hours;
📍Avoid Smoking 4 hours before blood donation;
📍Do not take any alcoholic drink a day before donation;
📍Avoid fatty foods (pork and beef);
📍Eat a light and healthy meal 3-4 hours before donation;
📍Drink plenty of water; and
📍Bring your valid ID and Covid-19 Vaccination Card.

It's a reflection of the church's profound belief in the eternal nature of families, as well as its commitment to promoting strong, loving family units.

Throughout Family National Week, LDS members engage in various activities and programs that emphasize the teachings of Jesus Christ regarding the importance of families. These activities may include family home evenings, where families gather for spiritual lessons and quality time together, and service projects aimed at helping those in need.

This dedicated week serves as a reminder of the church's enduring dedication to nurturing and fortifying families, fostering unity, and encouraging members to prioritize their familial connections. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and recommitment to the principles of love, support, and togetherness that are at the core of the LDS faith.

To culminate this week-long celebration, the Philippines Bacolod North Stake is inviting you to join us this Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Bacolod North Stake Center. To begin the celebration on Saturday, there will be a Fun Walk at 6AM, assembly place will be at CONFED infront of Toyota,Talisay. Please bring your Family Week 2023 tarpaulins. Don't forget to wear your 2023 Shirts. If none, you may use your old Shirts. Exciting activities will then follow. Together, let us all . See you all there! 💙🧡
