Today, October 4, 2026, the Parish Youth Catechists and the Sunday School Kids once again gathered for our Candelaria Sunday School, where we learned about the importance of being grateful for Godโ€™s blessings and using them to do good.

We were also reminded of the importance of prayer through a short lesson about the Holy Rosary, encouraging our children to grow closer to Jesus and strengthen their faith.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, our children brought pictures of their beloved pets! This special moment reminded us to appreciate, love, and care for all of Godโ€™s creations.

May we continue to grow in faith, gratitude, and love as we learn to use Godโ€™s blessings to help others and care for His wonderful creation.

Last September 27, 2026, we joyfully celebrated the First Founding Anniversary of Candelaria Sunday School! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰

Our celebration began with a Holy Mass, followed by an awarding ceremony and a fun-filled program with games, food, prayers, and heartfelt messages. Our children also made the day extra special with their joyful dance performance!

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the ministries and religious organizations who faithfully join us every Sunday. Thank you for your continued presence, support, and dedication to our community. Your willingness to serve and share in our mission makes our Sunday School journey even more meaningful.

May we continue to grow in faith, love, and service as we guide our children closer to Jesus. ๐Ÿ™โœจ

Last September 20, 2026, a meaningful Commissioning of the Parish Volunteer Catechists and Parish Youth Catechists was held as they renewed their commitment to serve the Church and share the gift of faith with others.

Saint Lorenzo Ruiz was born around the year 1600 in Binondo, Manila in the Philippines. He was the son of a Chinese father and a Filipino mother. Both were Christians and took care to raise Lorenzo as a Catholic. He served happily in his parish church as an altar boy and calligrapher.

He is remembered for his unwavering faith and his martyrdom in Nagasaki, Japan in 1637. His feast day is observed on September 28. He declared that he would give "a thousand lives" for God, and Pope John Paul II declared him to be a saint in 1987.

Today, September 26, 2026, the Student Catechists and the Parish Youth Catechists gathered for a Catechetical Formation facilitated by Mrs. Eduvejis Sacristan. The session allowed them to learn about the history of the Diocese of Imus and the role of catechists in serving and sharing the faith with others.

They were also given a meaningful activity that reminded us about forgiveness, acceptance, and slowly letting go. It taught us that no matter how much we want someone to stay, there are times when people eventually leave, and we must learn to let go with peace and trust in God.

This formation served as a meaningful preparation for the upcoming Send-Off Mass, reminding us that before we are sent to serve, we must first be formed, prepared, and strengthened in faith.

Last September 20, 2026, the Candelaria Sunday School gathered for another meaningful and joyful session as we prepared for a special celebration. The children spent the day practicing a dance presentation in preparation for the First Founding Anniversary of Candelaria Sunday School, which will be celebrated on September 27, 2026.

As we prepare for this special milestone, may we continue to celebrate the growth of our Sunday School community and the faith that brings us together. May the children always be reminded that their talents are gifts from God that can be shared with others with joy and love.

Let us look forward to a meaningful celebration as we give thanks for one year of learning, growing, and walking together in faith.

Last September 13, 2026, the Parish Youth Catechists and the Sunday School Kids once again gathered for our Candelaria Sunday School, where we learned about the importance of forgiveness and showing kindness to others.

Through our lesson and activities, we were reminded that everyone makes mistakes and that we should learn to forgive others just as God forgives us. Forgiveness teaches us to let go of anger, choose peace, and understand those who may have hurt us.

May we continue to practice forgiveness in our daily lives by saying sorry when we make mistakes, accepting sincere apologies, and treating others with love and compassion. Let us always remember that through forgiveness, we reflect Godโ€™s love in the way we treat one another.

We rejoice in the gift of the Blessed Virgin Mary's birth and the hope she offers the Church as we commemorate the Feast of her Nativity today.

May we all be motivated by her obedience, humility, and unshakable faith as we pay tribute to her. As a community of believers, we thankfully commemorate her birth, acknowledging her role as the Mother of the Church and our role model for discipleship.

Through the intercession of His Blessed Mother, may this celebration rekindle our hope, fortify our unity, and increase our love for Christ.

The IJA Student Catechists and the Parish Youth Catechists of Nuestra Senora de Candelaria join in the celebration of the National Catechetical Month 2026! With the theme: "DUMNGEG (Listen): Synodal Journey for ONE MISSION." ๐Ÿฉต

This month reminds us of the vital mission entrusted to catechists: to listen with open hearts, to walk together in faith, and to proclaim the Gospel with courage and love. As young catechists, we embrace the call to journey in synodality โ€” fostering communion, participation, and mission in our parish and schools.

Through prayer, service, and teaching, we affirm our role as companions in Christ, guiding others to discover the joy of faith and the beauty of living the Gospel. National Catechetical Month is not only a celebration, it serves as a reminder of the crucial role that catechists play in leading young people and the faithful toward deeper understanding, stronger community, and a shared journey of listening and living out the Gospel.

Noong ika-23 ng Agosto 2026, sa ating Candelaria Sunday School, natutunan natin kung gaano kahalaga ang tunay na pagkilala kay Jesus. Hindi lamang sapat na malaman natin kung ano ang sinasabi ng ibang tao tungkol sa Kanya; mahalaga rin na makilala natin Siya sa ating sariling puso at buhay.

Habang nagbabasa tayo ng Biblia, nananalangin, at sumusunod sa Kanyang mga aral, mas lalo nating nakikilala at napapalapit kay Jesus. Nawaโ€™y lagi nating tandaan na mahalaga ang pagkakaroon ng matibay na pananampalataya at pagtitiwala sa Kanya.
