Conceptualised by Winstone Arradaza and Gabriel Ceblano, who were then seminarians
of the Society of Saint Paul studying at Saint Paul Seminary. The two along with other seminarians begun shooting for the first episode which
has followed the format of five to six-minute Gospel reflection. On July 14, 2013 they aired
the first episode concentrated on the TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENT: “Love God
with all
your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength” and “Love your neighbor
as you love yourself”. It then followed the initial format for the next four seasons till 2016 under the Multi-Media
Department. On its fifth season, a change of format was introduced including the content
switching from Sunday Gospel reflections to thematic topics such as: Sacraments,
Seminary Life, etc. and its name changed to “Bite Size”. Bite Size was then nominated for Best Social Media Video Series at the 4th Catholic Social
Media Summit. Now Bite Size have changed further its format, bringing down its air time to adhere to the
shorter attention span of audience, also switching from an all exclusive SSP seminarian
roster of hosts to being open to lay people, students, seminarians from the diocesan
formation and from other congregations.
