A beautiful day of unity, joy, and gratitude as we celebrated our Family Day together. The celebration began with the Holy Mass officiated by ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ. ๐…๐ซ. ๐†๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐š, ๐’๐Œ๐€, ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ซ, reminding us of the gift of familyโ€”both at home and in the seminary.

Last Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the seminarians, seminary priests, and our District Superior embarked on a meaningful pilgrimage to the Pilgrim Churches around the Diocese of Imus in celebration of the Jubilee Year โ€” a time of grace, renewal, and thanksgiving.

Our journey brought us to:

During our pilgrimage, we were blessed to celebrate the Holy Mass at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish in Dasmariรฑas, offering prayers of gratitude and renewal for the ๐‰๐ฎ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐ž ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ.
The day concluded with a joyful community outing in Nasugbu, Batangas, where laughter, stories, and fraternity filled the air.

This pilgrimage, held in the spirit of the Jubilee Year, reminded us that every journey of faith leads us closer to Christ, to one another, and to the mission we share. โœจ

โ€œKUNG BAKIT MAHIRAP ANG MAGING PARIโ€

Mahirap ang maging pari.

Hindi dahil mahirap mag-aral sa Seminaryo, hindi dahil mahirap mag-sermon, dahil ang pinakamadaling gawin ng pari ay magsalita sa harap ng altar. Ang tunay na pagsubok ay isabuhay ang sinasabiโ€”ang salita ng Diyos na dapat makita sa kilos, sa ugali, sa relasyon sa tao, kahit sa mga sandaling walang nakakakita.

Mahirap maging pari dahil araw-araw, tinatawag silang maging shepherdโ€”tagapag-alaga. Hindi ito basta titulo; ito ay misyong ibinibigay ng Diyos. Ang pastol ay hindi lang nakatayo at nagsasalita, siya ang unang bumabangon, unang pumapansin, unang umiiyak kasama ng kawan. At kapag may nawawala, siya ang huling natutulog.

Mahirap maging pari dahil tao rin sila. May pagod. May lungkot. May kabigatan. At kahit minsan naluluha, kailangan pa ring ngumiti. Minsan wala silang makausap, pero inaasahang sila ang laging handang makinig. Minsan kailangang maging mabait pero istrikto, approachable pero may paninindigan, masayahin pero hindi magaan ang pinagdadaanan.

Mahirap maging pari dahil hinihingi ng mundo na maging perfect sila.
Ayaw natin ng paring masungit.
Ayaw natin ng paring marites.
Ayaw natin ng paring mayabang o power tripping.

Ang gusto natin: pure heart, may humor sa homily, open-minded, approachable, hindi namimili ng pagmimisahan, hindi tumatanggi sa anointing, handang pumunta kahit sa malayong sambayanan. Ang gusto natin ay tunay na pastolโ€”walang chikโ€ฆ kundi mga chicken lang sa parokya. ๐Ÿคญ

Pero sa likod ng lahat ng inaasahan, may isang katotohanang madalas nakakaligtaan:

Bawat pari, bago maging pari, ay tao muna.

Hindi sila superhuman.
Hindi nila kayang pasanin ang mundo mag-isa.
Hindi nila kayang maging banal sa sarili nila.

Kaya mahirap maging pari dahil:

Kapag sila ang galit, sasabihin nating hindi sila banal.
Kapag sila ang napapagod, sasabihin nating kulang sila sa grasya.
Kapag sila ang umiiyak, sasabihin nating mahina ang pananampalataya nila.

Samantalang ang totooโ€”
ang pari ay ginagawang banal ng Diyos sa gitna ng kanyang kahinaan.

Mahirap maging pari dahil ang pinanghahawakan lang nila ay ang Espiritu Santo at ang tiwala ng taong kanilang pinaglilingkuran. Kailangan nilang maging good leaderโ€”marunong magplano, mag-organize, mag-decide at mag-controlโ€”pero sa puso nila, ang talagang hiling ay maging good servant.

At sa gitna ng dagat ng expectations, hinahanap nila ang isang simpleng bagay:

Pagmamahal.

Hindi tagahanga.
Hindi tagasunod.
Hindi utusan.
Hindi katanyagan
Hindi kapangyarihan
Hindi karangyaan

Kundi sambayanang handang magdasal para sa kanila, tumanggap sa kanila, at umunawa na kahit sila ay lagi ring inaanyayahang magbago.

Kaya mahirap maging pari, ngunit maganda rin. Sapagkat sa bawat araw na may isang kaluluwang napalapit sa Diyos, may isang pusong pari na muling pinatatatag ng langit.

At kung tutuusin, hindi lang sila ang tinatawag na maging mabuti.

Tayo rin.

Dahil ang mabuting pari ay hindi nag-iisaโ€”
may mabuting sambayanang kasama sa kanyang paglalakbay.

Kung bakit mahirap maging pari?
Dahil ito ay hindi trabaho.
Ito ay pagmamahal katulad ng inialay ni Kristo.๐Ÿ™โค๐Ÿ™

Last Monday, November 3, we were blessed with the visit of our newly appointed District Superior, Fr. German Patiga, SMA, and Councilor, Fr. Mariel Sumallo, SMA.
Their presence filled our seminary with stories, smiles, and shared moments around the dinner table a simple yet meaningful reminder of our shared mission and brotherhood in Christ. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’›

On November 1, our seminarians together with the seminary priests visited the ๐‡๐ข๐ฆ๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐จ ๐ง๐  ๐’๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐  to offer prayers and blessings for the souls of the faithful departed.

As they went around the cemetery, each blessing became a gentle reminder of our Christian hope โ€” that in Christ, life is changed, not ended.

On October 31, we gathered in prayer and reflection as we concluded the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother. The celebration began with Adoration, followed by the inspiring words of our Rector, Fr. Julius Chelanga, SMA, and a meaningful talk on the Rosary by Fr. Raul Estalani.

Together, we prayed the Holy Rosary and ended the day with the celebration of the Holy Massโ€”a beautiful reminder of Maryโ€™s love that leads us closer to her Son.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters from the Little Brethren of Mary for gracing us with their presence. ๐Ÿ’™
