(Nyctimene rabori) is an endangered fruit bat known for its unusual tube-shaped nostrils. It has been recorded in Cebu, Negros, and Sibuyan, where it lives in remaining forest habitats.
Its story reminds us how valuable even the creatures we rarely see can be. Some live quietly among the trees, yet they have an important place within God's creation.
Our lives can feel much the same. We may sometimes feel unnoticed, tired, or uncertain about where we belong. Sabbath gives us space to remember that our worth does not depend on how visible we are or how much we accomplish. God sees us, cares for us, and invites us to rest in His presence.
May this Sabbath be a gentle reminder: you are seen, you are cared for, and you don't have to carry everything alone.
"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God." โ Luke 12:6
! May you find rest in knowing that the God who cares for His creation also cares deeply for you.
