You do not reject a pastor because you are strong. You reject a pastor because you want no one correcting you.

GOD did not design you to lead yourself. The moment you become your own authority, you stop growing and start drifting. Truth becomes optional. Conviction becomes negotiable. Pride takes the throne.

A pastor is not your Savior. JESUS CHRIST alone saves through His finished work, His holy blood, His death, burial, and resurrection. But a pastor is GOD’s appointed shepherd to guard your soul, confront your error, and feed you truth you would not choose on your own.

Hebrews 13:17 kjv says,
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account.”
♦️You are not just avoiding a man. You are resisting GOD’s structure.

Ephesians 4:11 to 12 kjv makes it clear that pastors are given “for the perfecting of the saints.”
♦️No pastor means no proper correction. No correction means comfortable deception.

You can listen to yourself all day and still be wrong. That is why GOD placed a voice over you that will not always agree with you.

You do not need a pastor to be saved. Salvation is by grace through faith alone in JESUS CHRIST, not of works according to Ephesians 2:8 to 9 kjv. But if you are saved and still refuse correction, that is not freedom. That is spiritual stubbornness.

If no one can rebuke you, teach you, or correct you, then you are not being led. You are just following yourself.

And that is the most dangerous place to be.
