On behalf of the Laymen of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (LIFI), I, Brother Eliseo Senecio Jr., National LIFI Deputy Secretary General for the Visayas Region, send our warmest fraternal greetings and a heartfelt welcome to all the delegates, organizers, and guests of the Visayas-Wide Regional Youth Summit 2026!

We rejoice with you as young people from 12 Dioceses across the Visayas gather in faith, fellowship, and mission from September 25 to 27, 2026, here at the Diocese of La Castellana, graciously hosted by the Parish of St. Nicolas de Tolentino in Sipalay, Negros Occidental.

Bannering this year's timely and profound theme, “Nourished by the Spirit, Bearing Fruits of Renewal,” your presence here is a vibrant testament to the living faith and enduring dynamism of our Church's youth. The laity stands in full solidarity with you as you embark on this sacred journey together toward a renewed and fruitful ministry.

It is our fervent prayer that this summit becomes a sanctuary of spiritual growth. May the Holy Spirit nourish your hearts, strengthen your unity as one Visayan youth body, and inspire each of you to step forward as brave agents of transformation. Go forth and bear fruits of renewal that will enrich your local youth ministries, uplift your home communities, and ignite the missionary spirit of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente.

To my beloved brothers in faith, the officers and members of the Laymen of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (LIFI)- VISAYAS REGION,

Pro Deo et Patria!
As we continue our journey of faith, service, and patriotic witness, I address you today with a shared vision of a stronger, more resilient ⁠Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI). Our mission requires more than spiritual devotion; it demands organizational maturity and active stewardship.

To achieve this, the LIFI Profiling Program must continue with absolute urgency across our parishes.

- [ ] Why the LIFI Profiling Program Matters?

The profiling program is not a mere bureaucratic or administrative task. It is a strategic tool designed to transform our laity through three main pillars:
* Strategic Data-Driven Growth: We must accurately account for our numbers to understand our strengths, map our geographic reach, and identify where the laity needs deeper pastoral care and resource allocation.
* Building an Independent Institution: A self-reliant church begins with an empowered, organized, and financially sustainable laity. Knowing our members allows us to pool our diverse talents, professions, and resources effectively.
* Empowering a Progressive Lay Movement:By strengthening LIFI internally, we equip our laymen to become a potent force for the Church's historic advocacies—championing human rights, defending the marginalized, and promoting social justice.

- [ ] Expanding Beyond the Visayas

While we are deeply focused on consolidating and empowering our baseline in the Visayas Region, our vision is inherently national. The data, strategies, and organizational milestones we build here will serve as a foundational blueprint for LIFI chapters across all 53 dioceses in the Philippines. A strong LIFI in the Visayas directly fuels a stronger, more independent national institution.

- [ ] A Call to Action for Every Layman

I call upon all diocesan and parish lay leaders to lead this data-gathering campaign with dedication. Reach out to every Aglipayan man in your community. Ensure no layman is left uncounted, unguided, or unengaged.
Let us work together to build a highly organized, self-sufficient, and deeply committed laity—ready to serve the Church, uphold our revolutionary heritage, and respond to the call of God and country.

The successful 2nd Regional Cluster B Conference (May 15–17) at the Parish of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Suclaran, San Lorenzo, Guimaras, concluded with unified agreements on key agenda items.
The assembly unanimously supported the proposed SPTS and Seminarian Program and Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) amendments, eagerly awaiting the formal resolutions.
Conference Highlights
The three-day gathering was marked by fruitful sessions, updates, and collaborative planning:
✅Diocesan Reports:
Comprehensive overviews from the Diocesan LIFI President and Cluster B Chairperson.
✅LIFI Profiling Success: Celebrated the successful implementation of the LIFI Profiling Program across the Antique, Iloilo, and Guimaras Dioceses.
✅Program Approvals: The body reached a consensus in support of the proposed SPTS and Seminarian Program and 3 Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws.
Delegates are now awaiting the release of the official resolutions.
