Yesterday, our parish held an Advent Recollection followed by the Holy Mass.

Thank you so much to all the parishioners from Zone 1 to Zone 5 who participated, and to our resource speaker, Bro. Ronald from the Diocese of Prosperidad.

May the message we received inspire and strengthen us in our love and faith in God as we prepare our hearts for Christmas.

Wednesday of the Second Week of Advent
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” Matthew 11:28–30

Daghang tawo ang murag malinawon ug malipayon sa gawas, pero kita tanan naay ginadala-dalang mga problema, kabug-aton ug mga pagsulay sa kinabuhi. Kasagaran, ang pinakagrabe nga timbang mao ang atong kaugalingong sala—mga butang nga makapugong nato sa tinuoray nga paghigugma sa Ginoo ug sa uban.

Jesus invites us to bring Him everything that troubles us. Dili lang Siya mohatag og kahupayan, kondili kagawasan gikan sa mga sala nga nagkuha sa atong kalinaw. When we let Him lift our burdens, even our hardest moments can lead us closer to His love and true joy.

Karon, paminawa si Jesus nga nagasulti sa imong kasingkasing. Susiha ang tinuod nga kabug-at nga imong gidala, itugyan kini Kaniya, ug tugoti nga ang Iyang gugma modala kanimo og kalinaw.

Karong adlawa, atong gipasidunggan ang atong Mahal nga Inahan niining espesyal nga selebrasyon. Gikan sa unang higayon sa iyang kinabuhi, gipili siya sa Dios, gihigugma siya, ug gitipigan nga putli alang sa misyon nga gisalig kaniya. Pinaagi sa matinud-anon nga “YES” ni Maria, ang buhat sa Dios sa pagluwas nagsugod sa pagbuklad alang sa tanang katawhan.

Reflection:

Ang gingharian sa Diyos dili lamang mahitungod sa purong-purong sa iyang pagkahari ug trono, but about hearts and souls.
Siya nagmando ug naggiya pinaagi sa pagpangalagad, paghigugma nga walay sukod, and conquers through sacrifice. Mao nga kita, let us live as citizens of His kingdom, where love reigns supreme.
