𝗦𝗶𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 | 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Altar Servers of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish of Siay recently underwent an Advent recollection, focusing on "Gifts of Hope: Preparing Our Hearts for the Coming of Christ". This meaningful event emphasized the importance of preparing our hearts for Jesus' arrival, reflecting on God's immense love for us through His incarnation, sacrifice, and resurrection. Jesus became human to save us from sin, demonstrating the depth of His love. The recollection explored the values represented by the acronym GIFTS: Generosity, Integrity, Fidelity, Thankfulness, and Self-Sacrifice, guiding us to become true disciples of Jesus Christ through service. We can be gifts of God when we do things that bring Him joy. The recollection reminded us that the true shape of love isn't a heart, but a cross, symbolizing the sacrifice that love demands. As we contemplate the baby Jesus in the crib, we are also being reminded of the cross - a great sign of LOVE, that love is about giving ourselves for others. May this experience inspire us to embody these values and spread love, just like Jesus.

As we enter the Advent season, we’re inviting all 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒓 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒊𝒂𝒚 to a simple time of reflection and renewal. This recollection helps us pause, refocus, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Through this time of reflection, may it give us a deeper delve into our service, and to following our bishops call "𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔯𝔢 𝔢𝔱 𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔳𝔦𝔯𝔢" which means 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞. And with this event, may it be a reminder of the love we bring to our ministry. See you servers on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒!

🌟 Empowering Future Leaders! 🌟

The Altar Server Officers of the Parish of Siay recently took part in a transformative formation and team-building activity, led by the inspiring Sr. Faye Ann Robles, CM.

Just like Simon Peter, who journeyed from uncertainty to becoming a devoted disciple, these young leaders are eager to grow in faith and service. 🙏

As the saying goes, “God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.” God doesn’t look for those who are already perfect or fully equipped to do His work. Instead, He calls ordinary people and fills them with the grace, wisdom, and strength needed to fulfill their mission. 💫

This reminds us that anyone can be transformed and empowered by God’s love, regardless of background or ability.

As these altar server officers continue to grow in leadership, may they always remember that their worth and potential come from God’s call. May their example inspire others to lead with humility, compassion, and courage, becoming true models of faith and service. ✨

On October 4, the Altar Server Ministry of Siay concluded the Season of Creation with a meaningful clean-up drive all throughout the parish, caring for God’s creation through action and service.

We thank the residents of Barangay Coloran and Coloy who wholeheartedly accepted baby Jesus into their homes.

Our journey with baby Jesus to your homes has come to an end. We thank everyone's generosity this previous days and for accepting us and Jesus. We hope you'll enjoy the remaining days of 2023, and have a blessed 2024.
