Topic: FAITHFUL TO THE END📈
Text: 2 Kings 22:2📖
Speaker: Pastor Renato Granada Jr.

🌸Josiah did what was pleasing to God by living faithfully according to the example of King David, who is often viewed as the gold standard for kingship in Israel. Josiah is praised for his unwavering commitment to following God’s commandments, not straying from them in any way.

🌸Nation deep in idolatry, child sacrifice, temple closed, book of the Law lost, worst time to be king, but best king came.

- [ ] JOSIAH STARTED RIGHT AND FINISHED RIGHT. Starting right is commendable but finishing right is crucial.
- Seeking God early. 2Chronicles 34:3. A right heart start begins with personal devotion not just inherited tradition.
- Separation from Evil. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord turning away from sin, and turning towards righteousness.

- [ ] JOSIAH’S HEART WAS TENDER TO THE WORD OF GOD. 2 Kings 22:8
🌼 How we respond when the mirror of Gods word is placed before us, reveals the true condition of our heart.
- The discovery pf the Word of God. Awakening to the truth.
- The neglect - The word of God been lost inside God’s own house during the years
- The reading - it acted as a divine mirror exposing the nation’s sin.
- The posture of a tender heart. Genuine conviction, physical expression of the inner grief.
- Tearing his clothes, a deep outward sign of brokenness and mourning over sin.
- Weeping before the Lord. Not casual regret but heartfelt sorrow.
- Humbling himself. Recognizing his own place and the Nation’s place under a Holy God.
Application: A tender heart wants more truth, not less.

- [ ] JOSIAH’S REPENTANCE LEADS TO REFORM. 2 King 23:1-3
- Public Renewal. Josiah didn’t just feel bad. He gathered all the people of Judah from the least to the greatest. James 1:22. Not hearers only but doers.
- Covenant Making. He reads the Book aloud to them and stood by the pillar, leading the Nation into a fresh covenant to follow the Lord with all their hearts and soul.
- Reforming the House. He immediately began tearing down idols, high places, and false altar. 2 Chronicles 34:33

✅ Conclusion: How will your story read? It is not enough to look back on a time when you were on fire for God,
Let’s resolve today to be like Josiah, nit turning to the right or to the left, so that we may start right, stay right, and end right.
