Luke 15:6 is part of the Parable of the Lost Sheep. It reads: "And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'"

The Story: Jesus tells this parable about a shepherd who leaves 95% of his flock (99 sheep) behind to search for one lost sheep. When he finds it, he joyfully carries it home and throws a celebration.

The Meaning: Jesus is responding to Pharisees who criticized Him for spending time with sinners. The lost sheep represents a repentant sinner, and the shepherd represents God.
