The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lipa wishes to inform the faithful and the general public that the claim of Joel T. Espinosa, who has also used the names Joel Espinosa, Joel Tan, Anjo Tan, and Ajhay Espinosa, that he is a priest affiliated with or connected to the Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, Archbishop-Emeritus of Lipa, is false and without basis.
The Archdiocese of Lipa hereby clarifies that any future claim, representation, or communication made by him identifying himself as a priest, clergy member, or official representative of the Archdiocese of Lipa is not authorized, recognized, or endorsed by the Archdiocese or by Archbishop-Emeritus Arguelles.
The faithful and the general public are therefore earnestly encouraged to exercise prudence, vigilance, and caution in dealing with such claims. Any questions or concerns regarding the identity, status, or affiliation of individuals claiming to represent the Archdiocese should be verified directly through the official channels of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lipa.
