Let me be honest, and let me be clear.
You don’t go to church because people are perfect.
You go because you are not.
If hypocrisy in church offends you, good.
It means you still know what truth looks like.
But don’t use the brokenness of others as an excuse to abandon the place where God is healing people.
The church is not a museum for saints.
It is a hospital for sinners.
If you walk away because you saw fake people, then you misunderstood why church exists in the first place.
And here’s the rebuke:
If you’re waiting for a “pure” church to attend, you’ll never go anywhere, because the moment you enter, it will no longer be perfect.
Jesus did not die for a flawless crowd.
He died for hypocrites, doubters, liars, and sinners, including you and me.
Stop pointing fingers and start checking your heart.
Stop watching people and start fixing your eyes on Christ.
People will fail you. Jesus never will.
Don’t leave the church because of fake people.
Stay, and be real.
Be the light.
Be the change.
Be the proof that God is still working.
