๐ฑ Forming Facilitators. Equipping Communities. Nurturing a Living Future.
In response to the Diocesan Synodal Mission Congress call and challenge that every parish is invited to become a synodal communityโa Church that listens, walks together, and discerns Godโs will as one family of faithโthe Parish of St. Dominic de Guzman conducted the Facilitators Training on Project 3PRA and Pagpabulos kan Burabod nin Buhay last Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Holy Rosary Hall.
The parish gathered ministry representatives, youth, clergy, and community-oriented leaders for a day of formation and preparation. The training aimed to form and equip committed facilitators who can effectively listen, communicate, guide, and accompany communities, bringing the parish mission closer to the people.
The sessions highlighted the importance of a synodal and community-driven approachโmoving from planning for the people toward planning with the people. Participants were introduced to the rationale and tools of Project 3PRA, as well as Pagpadagos Pagpabulos kan Burabod nin Buhay: Immersion in Living Water and the Season of Creation 2026. The discussions emphasized that caring for creation is also caring for our communities, especially the poor and vulnerable.
๐ Earth. Fire. Air. Water.
These four elements became more than topics of discussion. They became a reminder that all of creation is interconnected and that meaningful environmental action requires long-term planning, shared responsibility, and action led by the parish and driven by the community.
Through the practical sessions, participants learned that facilitators are not simply there to provide answers. Their role is to listen to people's stories, guide the process, and help communities recognize the realities, gifts, and needs within their own surroundingsโmaking every person, regardless of age or status, an active participant in the mission.
The training also moved from learning to action and commitment, identifying facilitators for the four clustersโEarth, Fire, Air, and Waterโand preparing them for the upcoming community mission activities.
