We believe that the Bible is true, affirmative, relevant, infallible and sufficient. The final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:20-21); consisting of the thirty-nine books in the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books in the New Testament.
The Triune God
We believe in the existence of one true God, eternally in the distinct but co-equal three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Trinity) (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14, 1 John 5:7);
God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Eternal (Psalm 90:2), Unchangeable (James 1:17), Creator of heaven and earth (Gen. 1:1), all Powerful (Luke 1:37), Sovereign over all His creation (Eph. 1:10), Holy (Psalm 139:1-6, Matt. 10:29-30), ever present and worthy of our worship (John 4:23, 24; Rev. 4:11);
God the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Son, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father, as true God and Man (John 1:1, 14), only Savior of mankind, virgin-born and without sin (Matt. 1:23), and His vicarious and substitutionary death on the cross (Rom. 5:8), historical and bodily resurrection from the grave (1 Cor. 15:3-8); real and bodily ascension into Heaven (Acts 1:11), and His personal, visible and future return to establish His kingdom on earth (Titus 2:13; 1 Thess. 4:14-17).
God the Spirit
In the Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and God the Son, who reproves the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment (John 16:8, KJV), to give new life to those who receive Christ (Titus 3:5), to guide them individually and collectively into all truth and to reveal things of Christ to them (John 16:13-14), to give them victory over sin and enable them to live a holy life (Rom. 8:13-16), and to empower them to bear an effective witness for Christ (Acts 1:8).
Mankind
We believe that mankind -male and female- was created in God’s image and likeness by a single creative act (Gen. 1:27) but that, by voluntary transgression, he fell from his sinless state (Rom. 5:12). As a consequence, man has become a sinner because of inherited sinful nature and his own sinful acts (Rom 3:23). Sinful man is, therefore, under just condemnation and totally depraved by nature(John 3:18; 12:48);
Salvation
We believe that man cannot save himself (Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9: John 3:16), but is in need of Salvation which only God can provide through Christ Jesus. Christ is the Propitiation of our sins (Acts 4:12), Christ died and shed His blood for our sins, thus providing redemption for all men ( Rom. 5:8).
The Christian Life
We believe that Christian Life can only be lived as Christ lives and reigns within the believer (Gal. 2:20). The Holy Spirit enables the believer to live the victorious life (Gal. 5:22), thus fulfilling God’s command (1 Pet. 1:15), that the believer is not to be confronted to the world (Rom. 12:2; 1 John 2:15), but is to glorify God in all things (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17). The believer, enabled by the Holy Spirit, will be a faithful witness of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8);
The Church
We believe in the unity of the Church, universal and local, which is the Body of Christ, comprised of all who have been born again by the Holy Spirit having faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (John 3:3-5; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:4-6; Rom. 12:4-5).
And in the observance of the following ordinances:
Baptism: The immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; its purpose is to show forth in solemn and beautiful symbol our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior; and to picture our identification with Him in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42, 8:36-39; Romans 6:1-15);
Lord’s Supper: In which the believers, by use of bread and the cup, are to commemorate the Lord’s death “till He comes” and that its observance should always be preceded by solemn self-determination (Luke 22:19, 20; 1 Cor. 11:23-31).
