Holy Family Parish Catmon, Santa Maria, Bulacan - Susmaryosep The Holy Family Parish was located in Barangay Catmon, Sta. According to Tata Miguel Hernandez (Sacristan Mayor) in late 80s with Bro. Fr. Romulo M.

Maria, Bulacan whereas the Parish formerly established separated with Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Pulong Buhangin. Sid Bayot they acceded to late Rev.Fr. Francisco ‘Boy’ Sta.Ana- Parish Priest of Pulong buhangin at that time to separate the Catmon and Bulac and build a new recognize Parish. Various improvements were applied to the church, through its parish priests, parishioners and devotee

s who wholeheartedly served the church. In 1996, through the supervision of Rev. Arnel Alejandro and Rev. Perez-the incumbent Priest-in-Charge at that time. They continue the augmentation of the said Parish and at the same year Catmon and Bulac was officially separated to Parish of Pulong Buhangin. On June 8, 1996, the Archbishop of Malolos, Rolando J. Tria-Tirona, OCD, D.D blessed the newly-constructed church and recognized it as a Quasi-Parish. This is the product of the grace of Holy Family and many years of toil and labor of the people of Catmon. From a small chapel, it underwent renovation through the years into what it is today. On December 30, 2002, Holy Family Parish was declared as a Parish by Bishop Rolly. At the same day Rev. Perez was installed as its First Parish Priest. WHY HOLY FAMILY? There are many suggested names that the patron name would be but it turns out into two;

•San Lorenzo Ruiz De Manila- That was back then newly installed as “Dambana ng mga Banal”.

•Sagrada Familia- The Patron name of the preceding chapel of Catmon. HOW HOLY FAMILY PARISH? To make it different from the name of the aforementioned chapel of Catmon, they officially named it into Holy Family Parish and the chapel abided to its Spanish name (Capilla de la Sagrada Familia). It is dedicated to the importance of family and commemorates their life together, and focuses on the religious family life.
