KNOW WHEN TO TURN ASIDE 🤍

Today, we were reminded that not every battle is ours to fight.

From the story of Asahel in 2 Samuel 2, we learned four important things:

⚔️ Choose your battle. Not every conflict is worth pursuing.
🚫 Do not take revenge. Leave justice in God’s hands.
🪦 Bury it. Don’t keep digging up what needs to be left in the past.
👣 Move forward. Your past may be part of your story, but it doesn’t have to stop your journey.

“The battle is not yours, but God’s.” — 2 Chronicles 20:15

Sometimes, knowing when to turn aside is not weakness...it is wisdom. Release the battle, surrender it to God, and keep moving forward.

Today, we choose peace over revenge, obedience over pride, and faith over the need to fight every battle.

Know when to turn aside. Know when to let go. Know when to move forward.

Today, our Youth Connect was reminded that sometimes God allows us to go through seasons that seem opposite to His promises—not because He has forgotten us, but because He is not done yet.

Like David in the Adullam cave, our lowest moments can become a place of refuge, preparation, and encounter with God. David might be in the cave, but his heart was in the presence of God.

Sometimes we see ourselves as a failure, but God sees us based on our identity. God saw a king inside the cave. What we see as failure may be part of God’s process of preparing us.

The cave is not your destination—don’t stay there! Let it be a place where you take refuge in the Lord, find strength, and allow Him to prepare you for what He has promised.

He who promised is faithful.
