๐‘ด๐’–๐’๐’‚ ๐’”๐’‚ ๐‘ฌ๐’ƒ๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’†๐’๐’š๐’ ๐’‚๐’š๐’๐’ ๐’Œ๐’‚๐’š ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’•๐’†๐’ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”:๐Ÿ๐Ÿโ€“๐Ÿ๐Ÿ•

Nagsimulang ipakita ni Hesus sa kaniyang mga alagad na kailangan niyang pumunta sa Jerusalem at maghirap nang lubos sa kamay ng mga matatanda, mga punong pari, at mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan. Siya ay papatayin ngunit muling mabubuhay sa ikatlong araw.

Kinuha ni Pedro si Hesus nang mag-isa at pinagsabihan siya: โ€œIligtas ka ng Diyos, Panginoon! Huwag na huwag mangyayari iyan sa iyo.โ€

Ngunit lumingon si Hesus at sinabi kay Pedro: โ€œLumayo ka sa akin, Satanas! Ikaw ay hadlang sa akin. Hindi ang pag-iisip ng Diyos ang nasa iyo, kundi pag-iisip ng tao.โ€

Pagkatapos ay sinabi ni Hesus sa kaniyang mga alagad: โ€œKung nais sinumang sumunod sa akin, itakwil niya ang kaniyang sarili, pasanin ang kaniyang krus, at sumunod sa akin. Sapagkat kung sino ang nagnais na iligtas ang kaniyang buhay ay mawawalan nito; ngunit kung sino ang mawalan ng buhay dahil sa akin ay matatagpuan ito. Ano nga bang mapapala ng tao kung makamit niya ang buong sanlibutan ngunit mawala naman ang kaniyang buhay? O ano ang maibabayad ng tao kapalit ng kaniyang buhay? Darating ang Anak ng Tao kasama ang kaniyang mga anghel sa kaluwalhatian ng kaniyang Ama, at gagantimpalaan niya ang bawat isa ayon sa kanilang ginawa.

Today, we celebrate the feast of one of the Church's greatest Doctor and Bishop,
Saint Augustine of Hippo.

He was a Bishop in the early ages of the church and is considered as one of our Early Church Fathers who formalized our Christian principles and doctrines.

Did you know?
The order that he founded,
the Order of Friars Recollect,
is the same order that established the first Christian mission here at Santa Lucia in the year 1586.
Thus planting the seed of our faith, piety, and salvation here in our local land.

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”:๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ-๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ

Pumunta si Hesus sa rehiyon ng Cesarea Filipos at tinanong ang kanyang mga alagad kung sino ang sinasabi ng mga tao na Anak ng Tao. Sumagot sila na ang iba ay si Juan Bautista, ang iba ay si Elias, at mayroon ding nagsasabing si Jeremias o isa sa mga propeta.

Tinanong sila ni Hesus kung sino naman ang sinasabi nila na siya. Sumagot si Simon Pedro na siya ang Kristo, ang Anak ng buhay na Diyos. Sinabi ni Hesus na pinagpala si Simon na anak ni Jonas, sapagkat hindi tao ang naghayag nito kundi ang kanyang Ama sa langit.

Sinabi pa niya na siya ay Pedro, at sa ibabaw ng batong ito itatayo niya ang kanyang Simbahan, at hindi ito mapagtatagumpayan ng mga pintuan ng kabilang buhay. Iibigay niya sa kanya ang mga susi ng kaharian ng langit. Anuman ang ipagbawal niya sa lupa ay ipagbabawal din sa langit; at anuman ang pahintulutan niya sa lupa ay pahihintulutan din sa langit. Pagkatapos ay mahigpit na inutusan ang mga alagad na huwag sabihin kanino man na siya ang Kristo.

Sa dakilang araw na ito, sama-sama nating ipinagdiriwang ang masaganang kapistahan ng Pag-aakyat sa Langit ng ating Mahal na Ina. Isang paalala ito na dahil sa kanyang wagas na pagtitiwala at lubos na pagsunod sa Diyos, tinanggap siya nang buong puso at kaluluwa sa kaluwalhatian ng Ama. Siya ang ating walang sawang gabay, sandigan sa oras ng pagsubok, at perpektong huwaran ng pagpapakumbaba at pagmamahal.

Bilang mga lingkod sa altar, buong puso tayong nag-aalay ng pasasalamat at debosyon sa kanya. Nawaโ€™y manatili siya sa ating mga puso, at tularan natin ang kanyang kabanalan upang magpatuloy tayo sa paglilingkod na may dalisay na hangarin, at tapat na pagmamahal sa Diyos at sa kapwa.

We entrust our service as altar servers to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, offering up every prayer, every response, every candle lit and every quiet step at the altar to her loving care. May her heart lead usโ€” to serve with humility, reverence and sincere faith, even when no one sees but God alone. We place all that we are in her hands.

You who were found faithfully at the base of the Cross โ€”do you stand with us on our altar steps.

Protect the words we minister, the actions we perform and shape us to look ever more like the heart of Jesus Christ. May every Mass we serve and prayer we sing and act of charity that we do become acceptable to Him through thee. Immaculate Heart of Mary โ€”take our hearts! Keep them close to Jesus!

The altar servers gathered for a General Assembly and Formation aimed at strengthening their ministry and deepening their commitment to sacred service.

During the assembly, members discussed the upcoming oathtaking of officers, the ministry's fraternal groups, the ministry's constitution, rules and regulations, and the updated list of expelled altar servers.

The formation proper focused on both liturgical and catechetical instruction. Topics included the sacred vessels, the Order of the Holy Mass, and the proper prayers and responses, helping the servers grow in faith, discipline, and reverence. The ministry officers facilitated the discussions and guided the participants throughout the formation.

The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment to faithfully serve God and to carry out the sacred duties entrusted to every altar server.
