Mother Butler Guild, St. Lucy Parish Unit It is non-profit religious organization for women. The Lord has been faithful and most generous in his hundredfold for the Mother Butler guild.

In 1961, the MDG was granted recognition in the Archdiocese of Manila as an organization of Catholic lay women whose apostolate is to take care of the sacristy needs of parish churches of its members. In 1976 the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines approved the Mother Butler Guild as a mandated national organization that will render altar service in the parishes of the ecclesiastical p

rovinces on the church of the Philippines. Consequently, the MBG has been a member of the Episcopal Commission on Lay Apostolate since then. The original charism of the Guild is traced back to the inspiration pf Mother Marie Joseph Butler of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, whom we revere as the Patroness of our organization. Her tenet of Love as the central force of our "trying to be" and our "trying to do" has attracted so many women from the cities and rural towns to devote their time, talent and treasure in the care and beautification of the altars of their respective parishes..
