Today, the faithful of St. John Paul II Parish joyfully celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, with the Blessed Mother present among them, an outpouring of grace that transformed fear into courage and uncertainty into mission.

Right after Pentecost, Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, proclaimed his first homily to the people. Drawing from the Old Testament, he spoke of the prophecy of Joel and revealed how it was fulfilled in the outpouring of the Spirit. With boldness, he declared that Jesus, whom they crucified, is Lord and has risen from the dead. This message โ€œcut them to the heart,โ€ leading many to ask what they must do.

Peter urged them to repent and be baptized, and through this preaching, about 3,000 people embraced the faith.

For this reason, Pentecost is known as the birthday of the Church. It marks the moment when the Apostles, united by one Spirit, one purpose, and one mission, began proclaiming the Gospel to all nations.

As a parish community, may we, like the early Church, be renewed by the Holy Spirit, living as witnesses of faith, hope, and love in our time.

As the sun rose at 5:00 AM,
we journeyed through the ๐•๐ข๐š ๐‹๐ฎ๐œ๐ข๐ฌ - ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐–๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‹๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ, walking with the Risen Christ in prayer and reflection.

In the quiet of the morning, we were reminded of His victory and the promise of new life. We ended our walk filled with renewed faith, hope, and joy, carrying His light within us.
