LEADERSHIP AND DIGISCIPLE TRAINING AND WORKSHOP 2026
On May 30, 2026, four participants from the Integral Youth Ministry of St. Joseph the Worker Parish attended the Leadership and Digisciple Training and Workshop 2026 held at St. Lucy Catholic School, Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur.
The training and workshop were divided into two sessions. Mr. John Bernard D. Degracia discussed the importance of adaptive leadershipโthe ability to guide people through challenges, changes, and uncertainties by helping them learn, grow, and adapt rather than simply giving instructions.
He emphasized that effective leadership is founded on emotional intelligence, character, organizational justice, and personal development. Leaders often face challenges such as lack of confidence, time management issues, conflicts, low motivation, and stage fright. These can be addressed through mentorship, proper planning, respectful communication, encouragement, preparation, and prayer. He also highlighted key leadership strategies, including building a shared vision, delegating responsibilities, empowering others, managing conflicts constructively, leading through change, and preventing burnout by maintaining balance and supporting one another. Above all, he reminded the participants that while skills may impress people, it is character that sustains leadership.
On the other hand, Mr. Tom Ishrael L. Filart facilitated the session entitled ""๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฏ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ค๐ก๐ก. He emphasized that social communication is a ministry of evangelization, where digital platforms become opportunities to share Christ. He highlighted the importance of understanding one's audience, using meaningful language, and creating purposeful content that reflects Gospel values. As digital disciples, we are called to use our creativity not for popularity, but to inspire faith, spread hope, and bring others closer to God.
May this Leadership and Digisciple Training and Workshop continue to inspire young people to lead with purpose, humility, and faith. May it serve as a reminder that true leadership is rooted in service and character. Through the power of digital media, may we continue to spread the Gospel and share the Good News with the world.
